I agree. But they work together. For the Jets if one is shit than they are both shit.

Both, but not because of a fault of their own. Its the OL that isn't protecting Mark as it did a year ago, and has regressed in the run blocking aspect as well.

I chose pass just because of no long passes at all this season....but now that I think about it there hasn't been any long runs either...w/e lets just make the playoffs

Of course to be honest, an OL takes time to gel. Moore was out with an injury and took time to round into shape; Hunter was somewhat new; Mangold was out a few games. All were disruptions to the continuity of our OL.

Now that the OL has several games together they seem to be doing pretty well. They tore up Buffalo last week. Just thought that it should be mentioned here.

Last week the OL completely protected our QB and he still was shaky and inaccurate. He did throw 4 TDs and an interception though! We won and that is the only stat that is important!

For purposes of " LOOKING GOOD POINTS" , Sanchez still has to get better at reading defenses quickly and be more aware in the pocket as he loses his happy feet!

But a win is more important that style points! If he keeps winning this poll is null and void!

Sanchez needs to build confidence in an OL that has not protected well all year. It's tough to expect him to anticipate good protection when he hasn't had it. Later in the Buffalo game he was more secure and we saw good results.

That's been my major issue with the playcalling. Suspect OLine, yet we refuse to spread teams out, make them get smaller, and get rid of the ball quickly.

Even against Buffalo, we were inviting 8 and 9 down inside all game long.

    running game.

    1. it rarely exists.
    2. when it works, the jets throw, or shonn greene is injured.

you arent supposed to expect a 3rd year QB to be able to deal with having dog crap pass protection.

The playmakers' performances in both the passing game and running game are heavily affected by the OL and the game plan.

The OL has been affected by injuries.
The game plan has been affected by stubbornness.

Suprised to see so many people pick the passing game. Sure almost all of the costly mistakes from the offense are via passing plays but so are all the scoring drives. I'm trying to recall a drive where the Jets consistently moved the ball on the ground and scored this year and coming up empty.

The day we stretch the field in the passing game and keep the defense out of the box is the day I get mad at Shonn Greene for running people over and averaging an awful 4.0 ypc with a mediocre offensive line.

    Oh wait.

While the passing offense has not been as good as last year, the running game has continued a 3 year slide for the top of the league to the bottom. This was out idenity on offense and a big reason why we look to be a mess week after week.

If only playcalling was an option..I'm pretty sure thats why neither pan out so well.

The running game covered up for Sanchez the past two years. This season it's not the same so Sanchez has to try and do more on offense and we see what the results are so far.

That's a fair point, but the costly mistakes are the reason that I picked the passing game. The running game has been a massive disappointment for sure, but all of the strip sacks and interceptions have cost us at least 2 games that we would've won otherwise, shitty run game and all.

Really the answer is "both," though.
