Among longest drives in NFL playoff history? I saw something on SNY but missed it. Longest? Wild card history?
Not sure but the Cowboys had a drive against the Giants in 2007 playoffs that was over 10 minutes and the Giants had a drive in the SB against the paytoilets that was just about 10 minutes. The Jets drive against the Colts was almost 9:54 so it ranks right up there.
As of right now... I'd simply have to rank it as #6's greatest game winning drive of his young career, and he's already had a couple. It's much too early to really rank that drive though. There's still plenty of playoff football that must be played. Now, if the Jets go on to win the SB, that game winning drive will go down as much more than just one of his greatest game winning drives; it'll go down as the greatest drive in Jets franchise history. It would be known as the drive that won the Jets their 1st SB since 68-69.
Unless im missing something it wasnt a very long drive. We started @ like our 45 and got it to the 17 ?
17 Plays, 87 yards, 9:54 seconds. Im pretty sure this was the longest drive in Jets history as far as time consumption is concerned. An 87 yards drive is pretty long, but I hope we've had longer drives than that. Those two drives combine for 150 yards on 27 plays, and 15:06 minutes.
Oh snap, damn, I'm sorry about that xmscott; I thought you were talking about the actual game winning drive. I feel some what like a moron now, because I wasn't trying to change the subject or hijack the thread. My fault for not paying closer attention to the topic.
