When/If the Texans draft Bush, what is going to happen with Dominick Davis? This guy is a great RB who would be even better in a better system. I can't imagine he'd be happy being the backup so are the Texans actively trying to trade him? I would definately give up a pick for this guy.
They wont trade him till after the draft for two reasons.... 1) They dont wanna tip their hand, if they trade DD it means they are going to draft Bush. 2) After the draft, teams that needed a RB that didnt draft one will need one and be willing to trade more.
Not sure about point 1, it's entirely possible they'll have Bush signed to a contract ahead of the draft and start shopping DD then.
They wont trade him unless Bush proves he can carry the load, 20-30 touches a game. Until then bush gets 15 and davis gets the rest.
I think they will keep DD for a 1-2 punch with Bush. Since some people are even sure if bush can be an every down back, with davis, he won't have to be.
I am one who is really looking at how that plays out since I have davis in my keeper league and my season depends on how the texans are going to handle that issue. (Just in case anyone was wondering my other rb's were k. jones, c.benson and r. droughns. It wasn't a good 05 campaign.)
Bush is going to split a lot of time as a WR, he's going to get 20-30 touches but not as an RB. USC didn't even trust Bush enough to put him in for a 4th and 1 in their biggest game of the year, why would an NFL team trust Bush in those situations either?
I don't think the Texans want to draft Bush. Look at past drafts, how often is it two weeks before the draft and the team with the first pick in the draft hasn't even started contract negotiations with their top prospect? This tells me the Texans are really trying to get out of this pick, but they are waiting until someone blows them away with an offer that is unreal. I understand that it is good practice for teams to pick the best player available regardless, but in the Texans case it makes absolutely no sense to draft Bush because Domanick Davis may be one of the two best players on their entire team. If you had to compile a need list for the Texans, RB would be very last on the list. Bush would be an extremely expensive situational pick for the Texans if they took him. It would be like the Jets matching Chad Morton's contract sheet from the Redskins, times 20.
right, with Andre and now filling the other need, Moulds, and Jerome Mathis already being their speedy slot prospect receiver/kick returner, Bush really doesn't make much sense for the Texans. If D'brick didn't have an issue with run-blocking, he'd be the number one pick for sure.
Davis just signed a pretty big contract extension, if I'm not mistaken... while the 1-2 punch idea is a nice one, I don't know how it will work from a cap standpoint fora team trying to build a contender.
it'd be silly, they'd take a fairly good hit to trade him (it'd add about 2-3 million i believe on to his cap numbers this year already...plus with the Texans schedule, heh if Bush is a bust, we may know by the beginning of November...it just wouldn't make sense to trade him, plus nobody would give anything for him anyway at this point or in the future because they know the Texans spot)
I had all those RB's except K. Jones but I made the fantasy playoffs but ended up in 4th place. The only other player I can remember from my team is Carson Palmer and he was a beast!
I really hope you aren't serious...if you are, you probably don't watch much football. In answer to your question...YES, it is possible to have 2 RB's in on the same play. It happens all the time.
 Yeah man I was gonna say those exact words... Didn't you see Ricky Williams-Ronnie Brown? Chris Brown-Travis Henry? Michael Pittman-Carnell Williams? Kevan Barlow-Frank Gore... And their are many more...That was a hillarious question.
