Seems like it's the slow paced game taking them out of it. They were loud early. Hopefully we can start the 2nd half with a score and get the crowd going.

the crowd was nuts at the beginning of the game...but this has them nervous. If it ever looks like the game is in the bag the crowd will loosen up some.

I was there and I think that it was a combination of people being very tired plus the honestly boring game until the fourth quarter. Everyone was amped at the start of the game and everyone just kind of got bored. When the fights started happening in the fourth it picked up a bit, despite people leaving.

The crowd was fine, it was great at the end watching Mangini getting Gatorade dumped on him. At the end, the same atmosphere was present as in 98'...I love staying til the end of these games, it has the feeling of accomplishment.

I just got home as well. The stadium was packed through the third quarter, but as usual Jet fans piled out when they knew it was a lock. I stayed for the whole game, and then after in the stadium to watch the celebration.

ive alwasy wondered where do the fans get those towels? are they free or something? and green probably would have been better. but it did give the stadium something extra, looked good.

Yea they hand them out when people come in.

    Green would have been cool.

Didn't they hand out pom-poms in 2002? This was better than that.

I think it looks cool and they do a good job getting fans pumped but i think they kinda take away from the noise in the stadium. On third downs everyone gets up and they try to support their team. With the towels, people think they can just wave them and that will help the team, so they dont yell as loud. So i wasn't a big fan.

ive found in the 30 or so games that i have been to that jets fans as a whole really dont understand their purpose.

they dont cheer when we are on defence but will cheer when we are on offense, they tend to follow the lead of that idiot fireman ed all the time. i actually think he is the worst thing for the jets, he himself is also an idiot as i have seen him on more than one occasion start his stupid little chant that he didnt even come up with while we were on offense.

fans always leave early to beat the rush, and every time i cheer them on for being such great jets fans, the fans are one of the reasons i would rather watch at home than at the game cause they really do tend to annoy me.

cheering when the game is in the bag is stupid, cheering when its 2nd and 8 in the middle of the third quarter is what should be happening, not just the big plays because any play can be the game changing play. the more noise that is made the harder for the offense to function.

jets fans need a seminar at halftime of their home games rather than the stuff that they do, on how to be a fan and cheer your team and make a difference.
