Curious to see what you guys think the Jets should do with Zach very likely set to miss either several weeks or possibly the whole season. Do you stick with White? Bring Josh Johnson up from the practice squad? Trade for Foles or Minshew? Thoughts?
I'd trade for Foles tomorrow morning regardless of what happens. They should have done that this summer.
Nothing you can do Clowney 2.0? Unfortunately it’s a terrible draft to have a top pick as no college QBs have distinguished themselves.
Initial feels are good for Wilson, but no one knows until the MRI. I'm hopeful he's alright. This team can suck all year, for all I care, I just wanted him to get the reps and build for his future
We seriously consider eating all of the money into Wilson/Saleh/Douglas and go the Cardinals route and pivot to take Corral with the top pick with an entirely new organizational structure including throwing $60 million over two years to Parcells to fix this dumpster fire before he dies.
We focus on a franchise QB and rightfully so as the QB play has been terrible since Chad left the building. More importantly they have to find the right coach. if Wilson was a Patriot and Jones a Jet, same outcome. Until the Jets get a legitimate HC nothing will change
There’s like 10 good NFL QBs in the world…no point in wasting resources on a backup vet that also sucks
There's also about 24 competent ones in the league in any given year. We've had one competent player at the position since 2006. Maybe two?
OK but none are available and even a low end competent QB does nothing for us. We’re awful and without Wilson it’s probably better to tank then waste draft picks for a QB and then still lose anyway
I would love this, but the Jets aren’t going to dump Wilson after five games. He’s going to get a chance to rehab and comeback. 2022 is make or break for him.
A competent quarterback that can legitimately run a NFL offense helps the rest of the team progress. A Mike White holds back the entire offenses development. You can still lose game while getting better. A legitimate NFL player at the position would've helped the entire roster. Now we're staring down the barrel of competing to be the worst team in the league for the third year in a row while all the young players fucking hate playing football for this franchise.
You need players to develop though. It does us no good if Moore, Davis, Carter, and others don't become more established as the season progresses.
