I believe that if we trade up, it should be for reggie bush, and that's it...this guy is such a nasty player, and probably the best playmaker to come out in atleast 5 years

what do you think we would have to give up?

I don't know what it would cost, but he is the only guy I would be happy to see the Jets trade up for

Based on the Draft Value chart they would have to give up both their 1st round picks and their 2nd round pick to move up to #1. They would also need Houston to give up on the chance to draft Reggie Bush, which I don't see them doing.

u wouldn't want to see the Jets trade up for Matt LEinart? I don't want to see them trade up at all, they should trade down from the 4 to like 9 and 40 from the lions.

dont believe the reggie hype... he is one of the best college rbs ever, with college being the key word
once he gets hit by vilma, lewis, or some other NFL lb, he wont be nearly as confident with one of his crazy cuts or other moves, but rather become another timid, small bodied rb

or, he could be the next barry sanders... what the hell do i know

Trading up for Bush would be a mistake of historic proportions..The only guy we would or should trade up for is Leinart..

It would take idiocy by the FO. Reggie Bush is not the answer for the Jets weaknesses. Keep the picks. I question whether Bush is the next Marshall Faulk (worth it) or the next Brian Westbrook/Eric Metcalf (not).

When the Giants traded up for Eli it was for two firsts (one future), a third, and I think a later pick. (5th)

I think this year's first would be worth more than next year's, so it would probably take #4, #29, our 3rd, and a later pick. I would do that, because we'd still have three picks first three rounds, and I think we need a RB badly, a lot more than a QB. Bush is a special player that very rarely comes around.

Lucky for us Houston is gonna be the team to make the mistake of building there team around a RB.

Not only that, they already have a very good, young RB in Domanick Davis. If I was their GM I'd trade down, take the king's ransom they could get, and adress a major need with D'Brick.

I am extremely happy you are not Tannebaum. I would hate that. With the amount of holes this team has we cannot trade 4 pick for 1 player. 1 player who is special yes, but imo will be a bust. Thats right, a bust! If college scouts do not consider him an every down back, he cannot be one in the nfl. Like someone posted above, once he gets hit a few times he will turn into a tiny back who cannot run anyone over. If it had not been for Lendale White banging up defenses so RB could come in and put some crazy moves on tired, beat up LBs, he would not have done as well.

Yes Reggie Bush is a top 3 pick...a once in a generation athlete with freakish intangibles and an uncanny knack for football.
No, he's not worth 4 picks.

No, I don't care much for drafting a qb. Getting the 9, and 40 from the Lions would work for me though

It won't happen. It looks like we will move up to #2 and pick Leinart. While I am not upset by this move I think that we could have stayed at 4 and picked a defensive stud and still filled other needs. I can only hope that we don't give up too much for the #2 pick. Maybe tangini will offer a player instead of multiple picks. Can anyone say Robertsonand a pick?
