This is a tough thread to start today I am not sure what is positive and what is due to Redskin suckage Anyway...here goes 1. Scott's best game this season...he still has gas in the tank 2. OL pass blocking solid against a good Pass Rushing team 3. Sanchez : no int's because D'angelo Hall dropped it!!!
they won. the season is still alive. nothing worse then meaningless football games. from a player perspective I'd say maybin and the continuation of the 4th Q success of Sanchez. he has these games when he su cks for so long but when it comes down to it, he always finds a way to make big plays. it's amazing.
I think you nailed everything except every game I watch, I like Aaron Maybin a little more each time. He also presents himself well in the media, very well spoken (for whatever that's worth?).
- Oline playing great, no sacks allowed - We went deep today with the Holmes TD - Mr. Comeback again, it was the 4th 4th quarter comeback for Sanchez this season - the defense closed out the game making it now two weeks in a row - Aaron Maybin
god all u pessimistic people be happy for once about the win...i dont care how ugly, how slow, how pathetic we looked, we WON!!!! i dont think there's a column for style points just Wins n Losses n bunch of other stuff....get over it n be happy...
I agree about Maybin and the entire D today, but I'm just not sure how much was attributable to Redskins & esp Grossman being awful
Helu and Rex looked great in the first half. Once we were able to lock down Helu our D was able to expose Grossman. I give our D credit but you're right it is still the Skins offense that has been very poor lately.
The pass rush was excellent pretty much all game and of course Maybin had the big play. Holmes and Greene had very good games. Offensive line played well. Sanchez didn't fuck it up. Bart Scott still exists.
Sanchez with another come back win after playing like shit. Defense stepped up and beat down Grossman. O-Line played better. Mulligan should be raped by Sandusky.
Maybin is improving and pretty solid Sanchez, despite another mediocre game, proved he is big in the 4th quarter The O-line looked better The Jets won
The fact that they were able to pour it on at the end. I know it seems counter intuitive, however ending a game with some passion is a good lead in to the next week. Shonne Greene icing a game brings back some good late season memories.
I wouldn't say the defense closed the game last week. They caught a break with the time running out and a dropped pass. But hey a win is a win.
Was there anything promising about this game? seems it was more of the same, nothing new that showed development at all. we look bad at stretches but then make plays. the positives were the same as any other game, and so were the negatives. this is what we have -- a team capable of being better than what they are but are just inconsistent. that isn't promising, just status quo.
this was a very weird game for sanchez actually i mean, i keep seeing this posts saying that he played really weel after a mediocre game but cmon, he had a nice first half, his opening drive was great, then the third drive was good also, he finished that half with 9 passes out of 11 He sucked ass in the third quarter, but i think that we should consider his good game in the first half (especially first quarter) as a positive point from today
Last week he was good in the second half, mediocre in the first half = terrible game, apparently. This week he was good in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters and average in the 3rd = terrible game? It's like people want to see more no matter what he does.
