i'm sitting here knowing that there will be some surprise plays.

whether it be trickery or something we haven't seen yet.

    hmmm:

a few screen passes to leon washington?

    an option pass by b.smith?

    a reverse (b.smith)?

    barlow in pass-catching capacity?

    reverse on kickoff?

baker as the main receiving target?

who will be the surprise star in the jet victory?

    j-mac off the bench?

sorry if this is a mundane post but i cant wait for sunday.

having a good, new coach and staff is sooo refreshing and exciting.

i cant wait to see what happens!!!

    go jets!

a lot of you are getting too confident. They only played one game against a bad team, i mean I want them to win too but calm down a bit.

A pitch by Brad Smith to Barlow?
    A fake reverse.
    Blaylock blocking for Barlow.
    Baker going deep.
A two tight end set with a tackle in the backfield.
Brad Smith holding on a FG.
    A rugby style fake punt.
A Pennington roll out with a pitch to Brad Smith.
Coles and Cotchery laying out linemen on running plays.

    Jeeze, I don't know.

it's ok to get a 'lil excited.

true, one bad loss and i'll feel like i got punched in the stomach.

but it's hard not to be a little high this week. we need to bury last year's ghosts (and herm) if only for a week. we were tortured last year and this feels good. 1-0.

    anyway. back to my dreaming:

    hmm.

nugent from 52 yards out as time expires?!

    WOW!

RockJet was Close. I think the real surprise will be Nugent kicking 5 PAT's and only missing 2. That will end all the kicking debate chatter right there.

If Nugent shanks one this week I will get some new wrinkles on my face.

    To Footballgod214's post: "missing 2"
    Worst case scenario:
    Nugent missing one.............
    Then Graham missing one.

    Other stuff:
Brad being used as a running back.
Pennington going deep after a toss to Brad.
    An eight man passing blitz.
An onside kick recovered by Nugent.

Nugent good from 55 yards (maybe a stretch here)
    Brad Smith in at QB
    Leon Washington in at RB

I think the Jets will physically pound these no-name receivers. It is the Patriot way. Beat them up, disrupt routes all they can. Some xone blitzing, perhaps.

I'll take solid defense, clutch plays on both sides of the ball, see a running game develop and a win. Gimmicks are cool/fun, solid football is better and more fun.

whoa, whoa, whoa, didn't you see Brick totally whiff on Pcman jones on that 3rd down end around by Brad Smith. I'm not at all sold on Brick being able to make blocks on those small types yet.

Mangini putting Smith as the starter for the QB... And messing with Bellycheck!!!! that would really screw his game plan up...Haha I would love it!!!!

haha, too bad it wont happen...and besides, i want chad to play this week. this game is gonna determine if chad's got what it takes to lead our team. and a good test for our defense.

but i can definitely see some trickery involving brad smith but knowing bellichek he'll be ready for it

Yeah...I saw him whiff on that 3rd and 1 play to Brad Smith. If he actually made a block Smith would have had a lot of room to run.
On the other Harrison is not a small speedy type safety. I'd like to see him get knocked on his ass.
