    Broncos released TE Jeb Putzier.
"Only a year after matching a handsome offer sheet Putzier signed with the Jets, the Broncos have decided Putzier isn't the answer. Denver could take advantage of the deep rookie class at tight end with one of their two first-round picks."

Signing him would have given the Jets a 1st round draft pick last year. Bradway would have probably drafted Nugent anyway...

Don't forget we got much more out of that trade so it wasn't a bad move to get out of the first round. It allowed us to get guys like Rhodes and Houston I believe too. Plus signing Putzier last year would've cost the Jets a later round draft pick too. Now they could get him if they needed or want him.

I'm still trying to figure out how a guy getting cut makes you wonder "what could have been" if the Jets had tried to overpay him by an even LARGER amount last year.
