Bad week for Movies this week except for "A Walk Amongst Tombstones" with Liam Nelson which kind of looks like Taken 3

I've seen A Walk Among the Tombstones, The Drop, and The Equalizer.

All decent films...The new Liam Neeson movie is more of a investigative film then TAKEN. Its like A Girl with a Dragon Tattoo...I like it.

The Drop has the feel of The Town, but to a much lower scale. I highly recommend this film...Fantastic acting, Tom Hardy is amazing...Especially near the climax. Also, a terrific performance by the late Gandofini.

Denzel in the Equalizer is just a fun action one-man action film like TAKEN...It was very good, not cheesy because he is pretty much invincible in this and its supposed to be set up that way. If you like these types of films then check it out...

All three have received good ratings on IMDB

I haven't seen a movie since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Which was Awful). Nothing has interested me lately. Finally, Fall Movies pick up this Friday with "Gone Girl". Then a month later we get "Interstellar" and a month later "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies". I am interested in "The Drop" though. Might go see it this week after Poeman's praise for it.

I usually hate Will Ferrell, but there are a few movies that won me over, this is one of them.

    Gone Girl this weekend.

    Also thinking about Fury.

I will definitely see Taken 4 (Walk Amongst the Tombstones) when it comes out on DVR. The Equalizer too.

I don't get too many good movies over here but they are showing the Liam Neeson flick across the street , not too bad. 500 pesos for a lazy boy , drink with refill and large popcorn. 500 pesos is about 11-12 bucks.

Unfortunately I read the book, so I kind of know the story. But still, I'd like to see how they translate it from the book to film.

Yeah, Brad Pitt rarely gives a bad effort and you can't go wrong with WWII.

Might be Shia Labeouf's last film too, that guy is now shunned in hollywood.

I heard Gone Girl's ending is completely different from the book...Did not read the book but read online that people are happy that Fincher made the change

The old lady dragged me out to see "The Skeleton Twins" with Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, last weekend. It's a quirky, independent type film : she loves that type of shit.

I gotta say it was one of the better ones she's taken me to in that genre. It was pretty funny and had some powerful scenes. I liked it. I wouldn't go see it myself or go there with a group of buddies by any means but it was enjoyable. The movie is really only in smaller, independent theaters that women love and it's good way to score some points with the old lady fellas and not want to shoot yourself in the head after seeing. Just a heads up.

Yeah I keep forgetting he's in that movie. That dude is awful--can't understand why people put him in their films.

Oh good. I found it weird in the book how she got eaten by a zombie.

I'll put that on the DVR list. My GF likes Kristen Wiig.

Recent releases make Cinemax after Dark a preferable alternative.

In terms of acting ability alone.

Yeah my kids loved him in Holes so I gave him a shot and didn't hate him in Disturbia. Then I found out what a douche he was and he royally screwed the Indiana Jones franchise (well that whole concept sucked). Everything else I've seen him in is almost unwatchable.
