Our GMs always marry the wrong young boys.

wentz is a bad teammate though despite playing pretty well most of his career(although has gone downhill after his injury compared to his earlier years) and he's been jettisoned off 3 teams in 3 years and was unable to find a team in this off season due to that.

    Thanks for his partial autobiography.

What happens is he has multiple better games than Zach this year on a contract that expires at the end of the season?

wentz isn't playing. he's the backup. he was brought in as a backup. same way we brought in simian. stafford is expecting to start this week (injury)

What if he plays and has several better games than Zach?

I have to admit, part of me wanted the Jets to sign Wentz(totally based on how good he was early on), and another part of me didn't want anything to do with him(based on my Redskins friend's hatred of him). A total crapshoot.

Wentz is making peanuts the rest of the year. His contract is for a little over 1 Mill, which is low to begin with, but its prorated for 9 games so the Rams got him for like 700K.

a cheap lottery ticket like that would've been good for the Jets

then he does. like not sure how that affects anything. personality counts too. wentz isn't the type of player anyone outside of a few fans want on this team. I mean antonio brown was the top WR in the NFL for years and many teams didn't want him because he's a head case. the colts traded a lot for him and got rid of him after 1 season. the eagles wanted to move on form him and drafted hurts then traded him to the colts. the commies dropped him after 1 year. talent/performance has never been his issue really. it's been the other stuff.

until he divides the locker room, pisses off all the coaches, and pisses off aaron rodgers.
it's not madden. players are real people. not just an "82 overall you can plug and play"

It's also not Beverly Hill 90210.

Maybe he will take someone's girl and cause a fight on the practice field.

And yet here he was, signed by a SB winning HC who was formerly considered the next up and coming offensive genius. And for the most part he’s been that. And why did he sign Wentz? Because Stafford is old and fragile, and there’s a very good chance they’re going to need a backup. And if they do, THEY WANT ONE WHO CAN WIN GAMES! A cancer coming in off the street can be booted the next week if it becomes a problem. If we wanted a QB who can win games then we’d have been on the horn with Wentz and every other possibility we could find. Instead they said they’re going with the guy they openly declared was not ready to be a starting QB, needed to read a book, needed a reset, and needed a 100m trade for an old QB to come in and replace him. And suddenly 4 plays into the season all that is forgotten? Now it’s all ok, he’s trusted to be the starter? After multiple games where it’s clear he’s only made a tiny incremental improvement, ie he’s no longer definitively the worst QB in the league, he’s just amongst them all. Carson Wentz is a 1000% improvement, and that’s exactly what the FO is afraid of. That’s why they brought in Siemian, as unintimidating a backup could be.
