Perhaps the worst start for kickers on a Sunday in NFL history? There have been 7 missed PATs in the first halves of the 1:00 PM games! And the cherry on top is that Adam Vinatieri missed a FG after 44 straight successful kicks, ending his NFL-record streak.
I said it last year. Teams should go for 2 more often. The XP was made the equivalent of a mid-range FG. That's like 96%. Anyway, the two most pathetic franchises in most of our lifetime's, the Browns and Lions, are the only two teams to trail in all of their fourth quarters this season. Obvious for the Browns, seeing as they're winless.
also, Vinatieri missed for the first time in a long time he set the new NFL record for consecutive FGs made
Watching a lot of the Cowboys game today. Fuck they look good on Offense. Getting Elliot and Prescott in the SAME draft, talk about hitting the lottery.
Everyone was saying they "reached" on Elliott, lol. Oops. He'd go #1 overall and Dak would be a first rounder.
I do remember that about the Elliot pick. They showed a stat that in his HS, College and now short pro career, the teams he has been on have a combined 10 losses.
I just hope they don't give it to Brady. His team was 3-1 without him. As good as he's been Dak & Zeke have taken a 4-12 team (with virtually the same roster) to 9-1 thus far. Much more valuable in my eyes.
I was referring to the draft. I think MVP should go to Matt Ryan because IMO neither Dak nor Zeke would have the same level of success without each other. Ryan for MVP, Dak for ROY, and Zeke for OPY.
teams are so stupid when they have almost no time A)There should be no shallow routes over the middle. B)If the team does run a shallow route, the QB has to know not to throw it there. If I'm the HC or OC, I tell the QB to throw it down the field or throw it away. Throwing it short means if you complete it, you'll have to burn a precious timeout (if you even have any), or watch a lot of time tick off. I constantly see QBs dumping it off. I remember Steve McNair lost a lot of games doing that at the end. Rams' chances went from like 3% to win to 0% when Goff threw a 3 yard pass over the middle.
