Jets | Schedule highlights Thu, 6 Apr 2006 09:33:23 -0700 The New York Daily News reports the New York Jets have only one scheduled prime-time appearance: Christmas night, a Monday night, at Miami against the Miami Dolphins. The Jets open the season Sunday, Sept. 10, on the road against the Tennessee Titans. The Jets will BYE Week 9. Should be a good game.
For the record, this wasn't intended as a smalk talk thread - didn't see the full schedual release and treated this as a leak.
On an unrelated note........ Is Ricky going to be suspended or what? I think you guys would be better off giving Ronnie Brown all the touches. IMO he's a bigger version of LT. What's your opinion?
Christmas Night !!!! Oh, that is going to suck. Better start kissing up to the wife right now.... ------------- Oh wait, I just re-read it, we are AT Miami. Much better.
kissing up to the wife? be a MAN - tell her and the kids Christmas is cancelled because the Jets are on. (sarcasm)
Ricky's appeal is being heard Monday. From everything I've read he has a really solid chance of Winning. I even heard Mort say that he believes it will turn out to be a false positive test. Only problem is that Ricky is a very high profile player with a record of substance abuse, the premature leak puts the NFL in a corner - considering who he is. In all honesty I want Ricky back next year. I'd like to see Ronnie get more touches, as his AYPT consistantly improved the more he recieved throughout the game - but you can't put a value on two solid RB's.
  I have season tickets, that's what had me worried. Sorry kids, Dad will be drinking and eating in the parking lot of Jets Stadium and won't be around for Christmas. Thankfully, I just realized it is an away game. Still, I usually spend Christmas night at my wifes Aunts house filled with Giants fans... Ugh.
Because it's rediculous enough we're a warm weather team in a division with 3 sub-fuckin-artict teams. The weather in Miami is pretty nuetral that time of year - just be thankful you're not playing us at home week 3.
Yeah. If I were in your position I would absolutely want Ricky back next season. For fantasy football purposes however I hope Brown is the feature back. :shit: I traded a 4th rounder in this year's draft and Chris Brown to grab him!! IMO that's a steal!!
well you should be lucky where playing you b/c where the only reason you sell out especially in december.
Why are you turning this into a smalk talk thread? I don't think the rest of the board would appreciate an influx of Fin fans over here declaring war when you're as unarmed as you are.
I think the Jets will do ok this year. Plus in the NFL you never know, anything can happen, so I wouldn't be counting this future matchup a win already.
And I'm not. Talent level is nearly a non factor between these two teams. It won't matter how bad you guys are we could very likely lose this game, but I remain optimistic.
Yeah..That's how it is when we play teams in our division..Eagles, Skins, and Dallas always give us a good fight no matter how bad any of us are. But I think the Jets will do ok. I am excited to see how their coach does this year.
