I'm assuming when Gostkowski recovers from his injury the Pats will get rid of Graham. He kicked very well for the Patriots and I think the Jets would be wise to pick him up for competition with Folk. And Graham should win that competition.
Really? The guy went 12 for 12 on FG kicks for the Pats. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I want my FG kicker to make and 30 yard kick after Harris intercepts Brady.
Great. He made one 41 yarder and 9 FGs shorter than 35. He better be 100% on those. Although I agree he's been great for us.
That was over 2 years ago. Kickers can drastically change from year to year (look at Folk). I don't know how any Jet fan can feel so comfortable with Folk that bringing in other kickers isn't even an option. Graham went 12 for 12. Yeah, he didn't kick one over 41 yards, but you can't automatically assume he'd be trash from that far.
So in your argument to replace Folk, you use Folk as an example of how someone can get better after a bad year. AYFKM?
Im not assuming he'd be trash from 40+. Im just saying being 12/12 isn't a big deal when 11 of those kicks were less than 40 yards. I find it hard to believe Patriots never got a chance to kick anything longer than a 41 yarder in their last 9 games.
No, I was actually referring to when he had a Pro Bowl year followed by being cut two years later. He's now a decent kicker.
