we passed on the #4, #29, and 71st to move up and by doing this we allowed all these other teams to get in it deep. Supposedly now according to espn the Titans have jumped in the race for Bush. Tangini should should have leaped on this, it probably was not a time for being hard nosed.
I'm all for getting Bush, but not giving away the farm to get him though. EDIT - especially in a draft where the gold mine is in the 2nd to 5th rounds
Screw the Titans, they have no chance. We have all the goodies in this draft. If Mangini and Co. want Reggie, he's as good as ours. We just have to trust them that they'll do what's best for the org!!!
Nothing is guaranteed until Reggie's name is announced tomorrow. The likeliest course of events is that New Orleans will select him. Alternatively, Murrell is right - with our needs, it's just not worth giving up the house.
First I don't think NO is going to make this trade without shopping it. Second, no one else has what we have, a high enough pick to ensure they get Brick AND another first round pick. The Titans don't even have a 3 in this draft so unless they're dangling their #1 next year, the Jets will be able to top their offer.
I'm sure that New Orleans wants to hear all the offers before they accept one. It would be foolish on their behalf to take a Jets offer without hearing what else they can get for their #2 pick. In Tangini We Trust.
this doesnt make sence... i mean the titans only have the 3pick.... we have more to offer with the 29th and 35th!!!!
Nice package for sure but if the Saints want Brick, and by all accounts they do, they can't move down to 6 because by most accounts the Jets would then take Brick at 4.
But word is NO is targeting D'brick or AJ Hawk who will both probably be gone by #6 (unless Titans draft Young & we scoop Leinart)
