Is there one planned for this year? I will definately make sure I go to that game. If there is not I say we get a petition going because he needs one. Whetehr they retire number 80 or not ( I believe they should he was the best slot reciever int he league for a number of years in my opinion, and clutch). He shoudl get his own day for him to get an award or something and let the fans go nuts for him.
Chrebet was an overachieving average receiver. Why in the world would we have an appreciation day for him?
There absolutely should be and if it isn't planned the fans need to get on it and make sure the Jets plan one. He really does deserve it.
Because he was a fan favorite. I would have no problem having a half time celebration or something for him, definitely wouldn't retire the number though....
How can you say that now that his career is over. The numbers he put up speak for themselves, so he didn't overachieve, it wasn't just a one year fluke. His career is now over, his numbers stand, and he was good enough to earn those numbers, so how can you call him average, that doesn't even make sense.
Wayne gave his heart and soul for the Jets. Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones had apperciation days. No way that Wayne doesn't get one.
