This could really change the case, I didn't think Leyritz had a shot in hell to get off before, but now even if he is convicted I could see the sentence being a bit shorter (could be wrong though).
Actually, it may be easier for him to eventually plea or get a lesser charge. I am sure this will be made into a much bigger issue if his attorney is smart even though it is a smokescreen. This fact may have saved his ass both literally and figuratively.
