Think of how bad it will look if we win several of these upcoming games with Vick. Rex probably waited a month too long.
You just don't start your best QB after you go 1-7. You start him beginning of the season and if it doesn't work out, you go out to the back up to tank. Jets doesn't even know how to tank.
Rex is still playing to win the game (as he should). This was a smart move, since a Vick who prepares with the 1s is better than Geno.
I mean, this is the obvious choice for Rex. He gives Rex the best chance at a victory. It's just something that should have been done weeks ago.
Why not just bring in QB's off the streets and start a different one each week until one looks good enough to warrant another start. Judging from the last 8 games the playbook cant be too complicated.
Yes, certainly, but this should've been the thinking going into the season. Vick prepares to be the starter, starts from week 1, and Geno is brought up to speed slowly. It is baffling that the smart move wasn't figured out this far into the season.
Just so everyone is clear...., Vick had 3 turnovers as well..... Don't expect Vick to make us that much better......
I laugh at anyone who thinks this makes any bit of difference. Vick was a Turd yesterday. The game was 14-7 and Vick was in already. We Lost 43-23. We will get blown out in KC regardless of who the QB is. And when we are 1-10 then what? Seeing what we had in Geno was the right move for this year, now we know -- Vick as the starter wasn't and should have never been a thought at the start of the year.
I am glad they are going with vick but are people acting like Vick is peyton manning up in here last time I looked neither of the performed very well
