I hope you are right about drafting philosophy. THAT is where the jets need help. I think McCagnan and Douglas were two of the worst GMs ever.
You know what pisses me off about these links... 1613 partners want to infect your PC with all manner of shit cookies, it wasn't so bad when it was one or two but seriously it is about time somebody in some government position said enough and put a stop to all this shit. Go to 5 links in 30 seconds and you could have close on10k new cookies spying on you.
If they draft a right tackle who is good then 4/5 of a good OL was put in place by Douglas. Down the line JD will be praised for many of his deals.
Absolutely! Why praise Douglas? He took Zach at #2 and it took Douglas 3 years to figure out he sucked. Then he takes McDonald at 15, when most teams had him going in round 2 at the earliest. Good grief, Douglas had months to prepare for 2023 draft and for some reason at 15 overall he takes an almost 24 year old 1 down edge rusher who gets trampled by the run. In his first year, McDonald was a healthy scratch on game day early in the season. How many non-QBs picked at 15 overall are ever healthy scratches (inactive for games) as a rookie?? But Douglas' biggest screw ups were in free agency--He doled out hundreds of millions for worthless players like Duane Brown, Carl Lawson, CJ Uzomah, Allen Lazard, Tyron Smith, Laken Tomlinson, Javon Kinlaw, etc. All those guys owe Douglas an annual Christmas card for the millions they stole from the jets. 30-64? I'll withhold the praise.
