Apparently a CB will go unmentioned by most unless he records a pick or two ? but Revis might have singlehandedly won the game for the Jets with the way he was shadowing Andre Johnson, taking away the entire focal point of the Houston offense.

He may be unmentioned on a Bears forum but I've seen people pretty pumped about him on this one. Asomugha and Revis are just miles ahead of anyone else in this leauge.

Nnamdi Asomugha is the only guy in the NFL who can even pretend to be on Revis' level. Every time you watch him play you come away more impressed.

The player of the game today wasn't Revis though, it was Kris Jenkins. He single handedly blew up Houston's entire offensive gameplan, opened things up for Harris and Scott to dominate, and was a huge part of the pressure which minimized the time Revis had to spend chasing Johnson around.

Tom Jackson, voice of reason, just threw Revis some big props on ESPN. Though he did pronounce his first name wrong.

Revis will go down as the best CB(Sorry Glenn) in NYJ franchise history. If he can continue this type of play through out the years, he has the ability to be a Hall of Fame CB. Maybe even one of the best ever THAT'S how good he is.

I was a huge A. Glenn fan, but this guy revis is lights out the shut down corner we've needed for years, no, they didn't mention his name and he is the unsung hero of this game, but that won't go on much longer, the league will be worshiping him THIS SEASON!!!!! I m surprised they threw at him in the 1st place.....:metal:

I love Aaron Glenn too but I honestly can't think of a single thing he can't do at a high level. Not one

EDIT: As a matter of fact from here on out I will never call him by his government name again lol I'm only going to call him by his childhood nickname so Shut Down it is haha

Under the radar player of the game could easily be Strickland. He puts his helmet on the ball for Devito and later mauls Schaub for Shepp pick. Did Lowery even see the field today? BTW Eric Smith didn't record a tackle but saved the 4th down attempt at mid field

he wasn't under the radar. everyone knows andre johnson was completely shut down (he had a couple of garbage time receptions). it's amazing how good he's gotten and how quickly he's done it. gotta love tannenbaum and the players he's traded up for (revis, keller, sanchez)

i think VG and kris jenkings collapsing the pocket and eating up double teams were the most under the radar. same with the punter

Big thank you to Eric Mangini. Lots of experts said Leon Hall and Revis were nearly identical talents and Aaron Ross was a close third. If it wasn't for a defensive backs head coach, we'd be starting whoever fell to us in that draft. I'm no Mangini fan, but give credit where credit is due.
