He still has it. He gives this defense a solid #2 corner and gives Sutton a ton of flexibility. I.E. Revis on Welker in the slot. This was a tremendous pickup by the FO. Well done Tangini. I know they passed for 400 yards on us yesterday - that was mostly done with quick passes around the LOS and taking advantage of matchup issues. Law wasn't the problem at all.
ahhghreeed! But pete kendall the prevent defense. I'm so sick of us playing conservative and allowing teams to drive the field. Law did as well as he could defending that endzone completion to Moss.
I agree 100%. Lowery did make a few nice plays last night but overall he was targeted all night and is starting to become a huge liability in the Pass Defense. I would add that he was matched up with their #3 receiver for most plays.
I couldn't believe how good Law looked having been off the live field for half a season, having no training camp and about 3 days with the team. He made mistakes, and I expect him to make more, but I honestly didn't think he'd be in on more than 10 plays in the game.
I can't believe he didn't get called for illegal contact, he was practically hugging moss when the ball was thrown.
But lets be honest, we aren't going to see too many teams with the depth and quality of weapons in the passing game the Pats have. Lets not forget Gaffney while still a huge bust was a highy touted WR coming out of Florida and he is their 3rd WR. Watson is a very good TE but can't stay healthy. In most cases Lowery isn't going to get beat the way he did last night.
Law impressed me, and he's doing the opposite of what I thought he was going to do.... he's bringing the team together even more and giving them the correct perspective on how to be a successful football team. I'm happy that my crying about him being here was wrong. I didn't think he had this in him. I wore my Ty Law jersey today too.
