I thought this might make for an interesting thread. You have to answer two questions someone else asked about this weeks game and ask two questions of your own.

    Here it goes:
    • Rex has got to be feeling desperate going into this game. I wonder if he would put in the big bounty on Peyton Manning?
    • We all know Rex has been going crazy all week desperately trying to figure out a way to slow down Manning. How much time do you suppose he though about trying to figure out a way to score a shit load of points?

I don't think Rex Ryan believes in bounties. He's too much of an aw shucks good guy. But this taco may need some hot sauce.

I'm sure he sat in on an offensive meeting and told them to Ground and Pound.

    Mine:

    • Is the real reason that Marty Mornhinweg doesn't want Geno Smith to drop back from center because he has seen Geno tie his cleats together in the locker room so often?
    • Will the Jets ever decide to use Quinton Coples in a pass rushing role more than 3 snaps a game?

No way-- Geno ties his cleats together with elite accuracy.

Will the Jets ever decide to use Quinton Coples in a pass rushing role more than 3 snaps a game?

No doubt. But only the Post-Rex Jets, when we convert to some base 4-3 or cover-2, and he goes back to playing with his hand in the dirt. Well, maybe some doubt: he might get traded away before that happens. (I remain anti- "Post-Rex").

    Mine:
    • Which happens first: CJ learns to run effectively between the tackles, or MM learns to use him effectively?
    • When will the defense develop a 3rd down play that doesn't involve sending the house?

MM seems dead set on running him up the middle so I'm gonna say that CJ learns to run effectively. Old dogs can learn new tricks.

Week 7. Once Rex has nothing left to lose he will finally realize that it's predictable and every team plans for it. Desperation will make him change tactic. This will be a day late and a dollar short for the season.

Q1. The Broncos are ranked 29th rushing. With our strong defensive line do you think they even try to establish a run game or air it out all game?

Q2. Do you think that Geno will be benched by the half and Vick given another chance considering how unprepared he was last week?

Answer 1: They will use the run to keep us honest when we show we are dropping 7-8 defenders back. But they are going to replace the run with short passes and screens more so than they usually do.

Answer 2: I think Geno plays terrible and the Jets aren't losing in a blowout so Geno will play the majority of the game if not the whole game.

Q1: Why do you think we decided to handcuff the whole offense when it was moving the ball but making RZ mistakes?

Q2: Why is our 3rd down defense so inconsistent, regardless of sending the house or dropping 8 back? Young players, lack of talent, etc etc

John Fox will try even though Peyton could put up 500 yards on our d on a good day.

I think Geno is going to step up and play well today. I don't have a good reason for that.

    1) What are the chances that Vick made his statement about not being prepared to purposely take the heat off of Geno this week?

    2) what player is most likely to put the hot sauce on Peyton Manning today?
