Thought I'd combine them instead of starting a bunch of threads on these. I'll just leave a snippet in here because otherwise it'd be a bit too much so if you're interested for more just click the link for the full story. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...n-forgettable-rookie-season-article-1.2313645 http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/pos...cks-harrison-drops-the-snacks-raises-his-game http://nypost.com/2015/08/02/eric-decker-is-suddenly-in-the-shadows-and-loving-it/ http://nypost.com/2015/08/03/willie-colon-sizes-up-the-jets-4-man-right-guard-competition/
Curious to know what's going on with Dakota Dozier. I know its only his second season coming from a small school program, but I haven't heard sqwat about the guy.
QB is going to be a hot topic. However, I'm really hoping that some of the beat reporters will give us good updates on the RG position also. Also very interested in Snacks updates; before Sheldon drama, I always viewed Snacks as a player forced to leave the Jets once it was time to get paid. Not so confident that's the future/ending of his Jets career now.
It's a shame, I thought he'd push Aboushi for the starting job but it looks like everyone else has moved ahead of him. The dark horse now is Qvale, even Winters is further ahead I think.
I think it all depends on how TJ Barnes and Deon Simon perform now, in the preseason and regular season as well. If they can show that they can get the job done I doubt we'll re-sign Snacks. He's looking for a big contract and nose tackles usually aren't worth it because they're situational guys. Similar to situational pass rushers or deep threats or gadget players like Harvin. I guess he's lost some weight now to become an every down DT like a Dareus, those type of big NTs get paid.
Those lazy bastards had an off day. Today they'll hit the field again. Tweets will be up later on when practice begins. I think at around 2pm again.
I agree. There was one article where the CS urged hum during the offseason to learn to play center. There has been 1 or 2 positive quotes about him from Bowles, but in only 1 of the NYC-area newsrags was it said that he was part of the competition for the RG spot. Now even Ijalana is mentioned as being in the mix for the RG spot. I did see that Dozier is supposedly the backup LG, but don't see how he would have won that spot yet, and yet not be in the competition for the RG position. Maybe they just want him to focus on one thing now. Maybe he is more comfortable on the left side of the line. I really liked what I read about him after the Jets took him and some hopes for him. He seemed to have a higher ceiling than Aboushi, but now it's hard to know what to think.
So what's it like?..To be the only person to be wondering the whereabouts of Dakota Dozier?...I'm more curious to know if Genos learned not to throw 3 ints on the same play 3 downs in a row.... Dakota Dozier won't matter if he's protecting a incompetent Idzik era QB with the IQ of a doorstop
So sick of the human penalty flag machine (colon) judging on everyone but himself. He just needs to shut up. Talking does not make you a leader
