I know Mevis was a big part. And Marshall is a good trade but I can't remember where else we sent our cash? I hated cap hell under Tanny, I thought we corrected that blunder, but what the hell happened?
Wilkerson happened and inflated salary at the end of dbrick's contract. Wilk,revis, and dbrick are like 1/3 of our cap for 3 guys close 50 mill this year.
A lot of our contracts just lined up to put us in a bad spot this year. It's the exact opposite for next year; we're currently projected to have like $50 million in space for 2017.
easy…over pay for players over 30..not one of our core players is locked up long term. last season i went crazy over the fact we paid buster that kind of money to be a 3rd corner when 31 other teams use a mid draft pick for one. we have drafted bad for years and have had 3 gms in 10 years, we have also used all of our 1st rd picks on DT's and corners. so yea there ya go

What annoys me the most is the Mevis bullshit. When it comes to anyone else everyone is in favor of them.getting as much money as they can but when it comes to revis he is selfish and only cares about money.

Cro got $8m, but he's been cut. We are not in "cap hell," by the way. Cap hell is when you're forced to keep guys on the team who can't play, purely because of their contracts, and when you have to cut good players to free up enough space to keep the guys who can't play. That's cap hell. We're just in a situation where we can't afford to be active in free agency and will not renew certain older vets. Huge difference.
Not much guesswork: 1. Revis #1 CB $17 mil (ouch) 2. Wilkerson DE $15.7 mil (double ouch) 3. Fergeson LT $14.1 mil (can you feel the pain?) 4. Marshall #1 WR $9.5 mil (this one I like) 5. Mangold C $8.6 mil (not cheap) 6. Decker #2 WR $8.0 mil (the guy is growing on me) 7. Skrine #3 CB $7.7 mil (say what?) 8. Harris ILB $7.5 mil (our best LB by far - without Snacks we will need him badly) $85 million for 8 guys including 5 guys ready for the old folks home and a #3 CB. What could go wrong?
