:finssuck: I'm a looong time Jets fan - grew up in Upstate NY and moved to NC about 6 years ago. On our family vacation this year I'd like to swing the family through Hempstead for a day to visit training camp. I've never been and would like to take it in. Does anyone have any idea when it will begin being open to the public? How it works? Is it easy to get autographs? Also, I've seen the Jets live in Buffalo, Miami, and Charlotte. After some less-than-optimal experiences with the home fans in Buffalo and Miami, I'm yearning for a Jets home game. I'm not a native to the city area and have never attended a Jets home game, but, would LOVE to. I've never bought tickets from a third party, but, know that tickets aren't available for home games. Does anyone have any ideas about how to legally obtain a couple of single game home tickets for my wife, daughter, and I? We'd be more than willing to make the trip up for a game from NC if I new a legitimate, no-risk, way to get some tickets. Are tickets ever available for pre-season home games? If so, how can I get them? ...just to be part of the Jets crowd once! Any info on either training camp or game tickets would be greatly appreciated.
When I am buying third party tickets I use stubhub. I have never bought Jets tickets through them but I have bought Yankees tickets and they always work. Good LUCK!!
The wife and I have used Stubhub 3 times with no problems. There are others out there that we used too, but age has withered my memory.
ebay and stubhub are my only two suggestions-i have never had a problem with either one-if you use ebay normally theres 1 in a 1000 who try and rip you off but you will probably get the best prices on them for the best seats. If you use stubhub you normally pay face value
AS far as T/C goes the Public is welcome. The schedule for T/C should be released in early July. Most days there are 2 sessions a morning and afternoon that usually last 1 1/2 - 2 hrs each. After the morning session the players go back in for lunch and Meetings. They then return around 3 p.m. for a afternoon session. There are several hotels in the area around Hofstra. The nearest being a Mariott It's been my experience that the players will gladly sign if a child asks them. Good luck
one recomendation, come to reg season game. there is no electricity at a preseason game. regular games though we're all amped up hard starting with the best chant in the NFL.
I think scalping is only illegal when you charge over the price of the ticket (plus some small percentage). So I guess when we wandered the parking lot last New years day and got tickets for $40 apiece, it was legal. Sometimes we use StubHub, sometimes we wander the parking lot. Never had problems with the tickets either way.
Ebay is the way to go for tickets. Training camp is fun and the Jets do a nice job having stuff for the kids to do
I'll have to jump on the bandwagon and say stubhub.com. Even though the tix are outrageously priced, i never had a problem once, and I dont know anyone who did.
