I’m sure this will be an unpopular opinion but we need to trade for Rodgers. ZW outright stinks and I don’t want to see another project for next 2 years only to draft another qb. We have talented position players, excellent D, and above avg ST. after years of waiting, rebuilding, frankly I’m tired. I want to win, win now. I don’t care about the near future b/c doing that in the part hasn’t gotten us anywhere. Rodgers seems unhappy, packers seem to be a bad team and after tonight most likely looking at 3-5. I am sure he wants to win another sb before retiring. Put all the chips in the middle and let’s get into win now mode.
Woof, I may not be 100% on the Zach bandwagon anymore but this is an objectively bad take IMO. There’s 0 reason for this team to mortgage it’s future to acquire Rodgers.
Personally, I'd target Josh Allen in a trade. A lot more upside. It'll probably take a few first rounders to get it done, but maybe if we throw in Denzel Mims, JD can work some magic? I'll hang up and listen.
These type of days being a moderator is as difficult job as there is. Not only I have to deal with my own heartache after spending all day at Metlife but also have to deal with this message board now that I am home.
Rodgers has a $27M dead money hit if he is traded right now and the Pack has about $6.5M in space. I doubt he is getting traded. The dead money is all prorated bonus also so the only way it can be expunged is if Rodgers returns that amount to the Packers before the trade.
Allen seems ungettable. Maybe Elijah Moore and a 4th for Lamar Jackson. Get him before he hits free agency. Maybe we can throw in Conor McDermott.
Josh Allen wouldn't get traded for 10 first round picks - he and Mahomes are basically the two players in the NFL that it would be impossible to get - the only thing that really matters is having a franchise QB - the jets spent 3 top 5 picks trying to get one in recent times and have less than nothing to show for it.
Also trading for Rodgers would be an abysmal idea - we need a franchise QB we can build around for 10+ years and that isn't Rodgers (who barely looks like he wants to even play anymore)
Didn’t take long for the “over-the-top” threads like shit can so and so, trade so and so, trade for so and so or plain fire so and so to surface. Yep, a 5 point tough loss mostly self inflicted by bad turn overs, very, very porous pass protection , poor play calling on offense, Idiotic penalties and special teams errors will do that.
Correct and not for saving Zach, Rogers is flat out ending his career, his thumb is fucked and I'm sure the moment he signed for the Jets it would snap off up his arse and he will be out for months. HARD NO
