he's seeking a release from the Rams. We have Henry Ellard, his former coach. I think he'd be an upgrade over Coles. We could still draft young talent at the position, with Holt alleviating that make or break pressure on the kid. Thoughts?
He wouldn't be an upgrade over Coles, but for the right money he would be an asset. This team is very young at receiver and any upgrades we make at the position will probably be more young players. High character guy who finished the season pretty decently. I think Cotchery took a step back last season and that can't be ignored. -X-
I would like this move. A vet wideout who can still get it done. There should be room under the cap, and a move like this would allow drafting for the DL and secondary with the high picks.
i'm all for it will upgrade our very raw core of receivers he is only a year older than coles and had a productive season last year
i would like this move too. He can still get it done. We are young in the position now and it wouldn't be a bad move.
I think he would be at least slightly better than Coles or Cotchery, he may not at his peak but he is still only 32 he still has a lot of gas in the tank. I'd take him no problem.
No but they've been talking about extending Washington and Mangold this offseason. Someone else said it on here, it would probably be better to lock up Mangold before he has another pro-bowl season rather than after ...
He is one guy I would like to see (if the $ works of course). I definitely agree that locking up younger guys like Leon is a priority, but having a veteran HOF to be WR on the team would be a beneficial asset. Yes, the "greatest show on turf" days are long behind, but he still is a good, experienced WR and from I've seen a good guy.
