Hopefully the questions about their O-line are fair. If so, Brady will at least take a slight step back. He's not himself under pressure. If the o-line is weak, he'll be "human". I'll believe it when I see it though.
It's the only reason the Jets beat Brady in the playoffs. Brady is not a superhero when his O-line is crumbling. If the Jets every win the division before Brady retires, it will be because of a poor OLine...we can only hope.
They had a few guys out today But some of their guys who are starters straight up looked bad. And their decision to axe all their veteran running backs is gonna hurt them, since it was VERY clear that their younger backs have issues with pass protection. I think they will definitely have an above average OL and Brady knows how to avoid hits somewhat decent, but, this is also going to be the most exposed Brady has been in quite some time.
what are you guys talking about? according to a Pats fan on here there are no questions about their OL.
Solder looked very WFH like in this game, except he was on the blind side. Let's hope he continues to regress so Mo and Co meet at opposite sides of Brady's sternum.
I don't ever wish injury on any player but I wouldn't be upset if Brady had a bit of a rougher time this year, maybe wear him down a bit. He's getting up there in age so you have to figure to more big hits he takes the harder it's going to be for him to be at the top of his game, which just bodes well for us.
You obviously don't wish for a player to fall down a flight of stairs or chop his leg with an axe or stub his pinkie toe when walking the poodle... but nothing beats the QB getting smashed in the pocket.
Solder isnt physical enough. I remember watching him his last year at Colorado once all the Outland trophy hype came. He looks all the part of the converted TE he is. now all this means is he might not catch on until year 3. he plays WAY too high for someone his frame. once he gets stood up he stops moving his feet and starts trying to use his long arms. if this guy could maintain a lower pad level and have a more explosive pop hed make much more use of his impressive frame. I dont think there is going to be a middle ground, hes either going to bloom into a monster bookend or be a bust. only time will tell. considering how good theyve scouted OL over the last decade im going to give them the benefit of the doubt. but if we can take advantage of him while hes still adjusting to the NFL level, I'll take it. the Pats OL is as unpredictable as its been in a long time, Rex and Co. better take advantage. although I bet our DL will make some big plays on them it will be up to our Safeties to not shit the bed when Brady attacks the intermediate/middle of the field
We should have one of the better O lines in the NFL but its only as strong as its weakest link and Wayne Hunter is as bad as Mangold is good. Schotty did a bad job last season though giving him help so hopefully he won't be as unbelievably awful this season.
Went to look @ the pats message board and most of them aren't worried. One guy even responded by saying solder is going to be better than light. Really? That's what you gathered by watching him get owned? Hopefully this guy goes full wayne hunter so the pats fans can choke on there arrogance. Granted it's only preseason but that performance has to be at least a little concerning if you're reasonable.
