It's only Tuesday and I'm already focused on next Sunday. I have a S-load of work for the 1st time in awhile, yet still browsing the web. Last Thursday night was very exciting for all of us. It was one necessary step in pointing this team in the right direction, slaying one demon at time...... and that's what it was. Maybe thoughts of '86 (I was at the Orange Bowl on that horrific Monday night) and '98 temper my enthusiasm of Super Bowl talk, but I can't lie, the thought has crossed my mind on more than one occasion, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The next test true test lies in Tennessee as an undefeated beast of a team awaits. They've beaten teams with both smothering defense and an opportunistic offense, but that comes to end this weekend. Time for the JETS to smash them in the mouth, take shots and swing back. Favre needs to protect the ball, and pick his shots. The Defense needs to Stop the run, and get to Collins. I do not think the JETS win out the rest of the season, but they're taking this game! 20-17 I'm so fired up, I may put the grill in my truck and tailgate in the bar's parking lot Sunday morning. GO JETS :jets:
If Rick Flair is excited then so am I. But seriously this is a huge game for the Jets to prove everyone wrong. The Oakland game is going to haunt us for the rest of the year but this will be a big step in washing that loss to the back of peoples minds.
I agree 100%. I hate those who say things like "Well the Titans are undefeated, we're supposed to lose." Fuck that. If we're going to get far in the playoffs, we have to be able to play to anyone's level.
in preparation for home field advantage throught the playoffs, we should rest our starters against the titans.
To be the best you do have to beat the best but this isn't the week we need to prove that. We need to prove we can play with TN on both sides of the ball not necessarily beat them. If TN had lost last week and we had a real shot to catch them for the top spot than it's a must game. Now we just need to prove we belong on the same field much as the Giants did against the Pats in the regular season. We need to beat the Bills and the Dolphins and two other games this one isn't a must game.
This game is the next piece in the puzzle of the 2008 N.Y. Jets. Will it be a Picasso or will it be a million piece cock pit puzzle you give up on before your done. ..well this weeks game is the tell tale sign of things to come. If we drop these guys and keep the streak going , we bring a certain Moxy into the next games that Tennessee has been dropping on teams (Much like the bears did a year or so ago) and this adds to the advantage ; Add in home field (If we excel) and you have the chance for greatness.
I would gladly trade this game for a guaranteed victory in the games you mentioned. The Giants was a good example, but the Titans are NOT the team that the PATS were last year. I would also like to see a victory that could propel a jauggernaut through the season, and I see this as an opportunity to do so as the Titans are ripe for a loss. Much like the Giants last year I'd prefer the momentum in December, as the Dolphins game on the 28th could be a HUGE one. :jets:
A lot of people are picking us to lose to both Tennessee and Denver. I'll settle for one win in the next two weeks.
When do the Jets play the Giants? No disrespect to the Titans, but the Giants are the best team in the NFL.
Losing to Tennessee is unacceptable! They can choke on their 10-0. Go into Tennessee and GET IT DONE!!!!! 8-3 by Sunday Afternoon!
