Your thoughts, your words of sympathy, your remembrances of Michael (Green Guy) have brought so much comfort to us in this awful time, and we are so grateful to all of you for reaching out to us with what we consider a big Jets hug. During all the years we had season tickets, at both Shea and then in Jersey, we became friends with all the Jets fans we sat with. We rooted and rejoiced together; we suffered together; we watched our kids grow up together and we grew older together. They were our Jets family. Here in Vegas, going to a Jets bar in order to see the games, we also bonded with other fans and they have become like family. And that is also the way we feel about Gang Green. Sharing thoughts and feelings over the years about a sports team, we also learn about the people. From the postings you have now made, I believe you knew my son Michael, although you never actually met him. The Gang Green is truly a family, and I am very grateful that you were in Michael's life and that you are in LV Coach's life, and that you are in my life too. We are saving your posts and will give them to Morgan when she is older so that she may know how you felt about her "Daddy", the Green Guy. Many of you have asked about a memorial for Michael. The light of his life was his beloved daughter Morgan. His main goal was to make sure she grew up happy and secure, achieve her potential, and that her dreams come true. He is no longer here to fulfill those promises. To help make them a reality, Michael's uncles have established a college fund for Morgan. If anyone wishes to contribute, please make checks payable to "College Savings Plan of Nebraska". On the notation line put "Morgan Ames, Acct. #197356911" and mail to: Comprehensive Accounting Services, 8700 East Vista Bonita Dr., Suite 202, Scottsdale, AZ 85255. We know Michael would join us in sending thanks, appreciation and a great big J-E-T-S cheer to our Gang Green family. Love, Dorothy (Green Guy's Mom)
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I am sorry to hear about your loss, and all of us grieve with you. Thank you for posting.
in the past week or so i have realized that there are some things that really make me proud, things i never thought would make me proud but have. i am proud to have known a man of such heart and wisdom as greenguy and although i never in my life thought that i would be proud to know someone on the internet your son proved that it is possible. i am also proud of this group of which he was one of the real "founding members" that there were so many wonderful things said about greenguy really impressed me, that this our ganggreen group would reach out and say absolutely what they thought about greenguy. i am proud of that. when petro put up the letter from LVCoach it really touched me that he was going to print out and give them to greenguys daughter. i am proud that we were able to give her the opportunity in the future to see just how important her father was to a group of people who never actually met him. that just shows what a wonderful person he was. thank you for the college fund information, i hope that we can help his friends and family achieve his dream.
Coach...my sincerest condolences go out to you and your family! :-( Anything I can do you let me know and I'll be sending to the Morgan College fund this upcoming week. God bless and peace be with you and all your loved ones. Peace The Mezz
I never met Green Guy but loved and appreciated his insight for sooooo many years. LV Coach..... as expressed recently in my email to you and D, God Bless. You guys are the best and this shouldn't happen to anyone! -Jeff
I've only been on this board as a member for a week, and so I felt that it would be out of place to comment on any of the threads created in honor of Green Guy. However, in reading over the posts I have come to realize the community and camaraderie here at TGG. So, in that vein, I will join in with my fellow sympathizers and offer my greatest condolences. I know how hard it is to lose someone very close, but I can not even imagine the sorrow of burying your child. I wish you the very best in all of your future endeavors. Stay strong, guys.
Thank you for posting this. Green Guy was a TGG original, like myself and many others. He's been a part of the TGG family for a long time, and he will remain an integral part to the history of this site. We all have you in our thoughts, and this hits home for many of us.

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Though I have never met Micheal "Green Guy" I enjoyed reading all of his posts as well as arguing him the few times that I did. God bless you and your family.
My condolences. I didn't realize we had lost Green Guy, that's really sad. Best wishes to the family and his little girl.
