Made an interesting observation yesterday. The Jets had all three timeouts left at both two minute warnings. I would like to know if this was ever the case during the herm era... this to me is a sign of good coaching.. the team was well prepared and not in a position where they needed to burn a precious timeout.

On the titans last gasp, 4 and goal with 38 seconds left, we were able to call a timeout after the titans lined up. this allowed us to see their formation and possibly adjust what they were going to do...

love our coaching staff so far..

Yes, I must say, they are in control of the situation. There is still some tweaking that needs to take place, but we were a heck of a lot better in this season's opener vs. last year in KC. In fact, there was virtually no comparison. Good news.

It was discouraging that we let the Titan's back into the game yesterday. It almost costed us, but in victory, hopefully there will be some valuable lessons learned.

Nugent needs to straighten out his 9 iron!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time management is already 100x better than Herm.. it is the sign of a diciplined team. I love it.

One of the things that drove me crazy in the past was how often the Jets QB would burn a timeout in the third quarter because the play was late coming in, or they saw something they didn't like and didn't know how to handle it. I was thrilled when the Titans did exactly that in yesterday's game, and it ended up costing them at the end. As you noted, in contrast the Jets had timeouts available to use on defense at the end when they wanted to see the offensive setup.
