The Pats just keep improving, the mock draft have the Pats drafting PAUL POSLUSZNY and Brian Leonard in the first round. This is two huge steals for them. In case people wonder why the Pats get better every season even if getting late round picks this is why. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html
I'll be THRILLED if the Pats take Leonard in round 1.... he should go in the late 2nd/early 3rd round.
so if your theory was correct....then why wouldnt every other team picking in front of them just pick those guys??? ahahahah come on dude
it doesnt really matter WHAT new england does or WHO they pick. they could draft a monkey and they would develope that monkey into a great linebacker. its crazy. mangini is starting to do the same thing for us now (poteat etc).
Very good, jonny! I thought the same thing - if a mock draft has them picking these guys, it's obviously not a steal, or else someone else would have already picked them.
If jtrain is the same in the real world as he is on the internet, how is it possible he has accomplished anything?
Hey, at least the guy's tryin to make conversation...not much goin on these days...So uh, in answer to the question, yes the three-time SBC pats are our toughest division rival...and actually I don't think poz is worth a first, nor is leonard...so they would actually be gettin robbed, but you're right about the fact that they can afford to take those kind of chances, and therefore have a better chance at finding a sleeper. Such is view looking up.
fair enough, but the poll is really unnecessary - I would bet that only fins or bills fans would vote other than pats. :bills_suck: ats_suck: :buffaloblows: :finssuck:
they have adaleous thomas and wes walker. They and san fran are the biggest off season winners so far.
  :breakdance: POZ AND LEONARD ARE STEALS IN THE FIRST ROUND? and who cares what a mock draft says? My mock draft has the Jets getting Okoye and Calvin Johnson. This proves that we're the best team in the league because my mock has the Jets getting the best players.
I really really really hate statements like this. There are no winners or losers in the offseason! There are no winners and losers during the FA period! There are no winners or losers in the draft! You only win or lose during the season! Some of you act like the offseason is the second season. The ONLY thing that matters is that the FO and CS get the players they need to win games during the regular season. Who gives a flying crap about what the Pats do, or the 49ers, or any other team. The ONLY way to judge whether an offseason move was good is if it translates into wins. This isn't Madden, you don't get points for getting the highest paid free agent during the offseason. Sorry about the rant, but this type of attitude really irks me.
The funniest part is that if Wes Welker or Donte Stallworth went to any other team, like the Seahawks for instance, no one would say anything about them. No one would say "What a steal for the Seahawks!" Cuz these are just average plug-in players. But when the Patriots grab them it's a brilliant move and highway robbery on the teams that gave them up. Donte Stallworth was on the Eagles last season. Is that a team known for letting go of good players in their prime?
Upon seeing this mock, I think I need to ask everyone if it's just too soon to award the Patriots with the Daniel Snyder Supra-Genius Offseason Championship Trophy.
I understand why you think this way. I naturally wanted to scream at John Clayton and Tom jackson when I heard them talking about how NE just reloads after every offseason.....but then I thought to myself.....their winners. As much as I hate them, they are doing something right. I have learned to respect the Patriots, mainly because of their owner. I wish Woody would open the checkbook every now and again. Don't act like you didn't want Adaleus Thomas or Joey Porter (even though Porter is old he can still play). I'm a Jets fan, but also a realist. I know the season hasn't started yet, but picking up a good player is picking up a good player.
