depending on how a few things shake out, the economy, me keeping my job that sort of thing, I could be giving up being an exclusive Jets fan and signing up for direct TV next yr to start rooting for my new team, which ever one it might be. I'm not saying the Jets have to win the SB this yr to keep me, but I just feel that its been a long and painful road, and if I got direct TV, I could watch and root for any team of my choice, I could be a bandwagoneer every season!! imagine never having to be disappointed like this ever again!.
thanks respectfully for the offer, BUT! color me sick and depraved, but as much as the Patriots have won in this decade, I can honestly say, when that day comes, they are the only team that I'm sure I won't root for. I liked them way better back in the 80's and 90's when they sucked!. So maybe that's why I love the Jets.
it already has....but whether the ship is sailing or sinking like a turd in the toilet...I will remain on the ship.
It sucks being a Jets fan, thats a fact. I would love to change, but it will never happen. Many Jets fans felt this way after yesterday. Excited for the new look Jets, end up watching the same Jets, just a more expensive version.
I don't know if you're serious or not, but I was thinking along the same lines before they got Favre. Not that I would change teams but that I would introduce my 2 1/2 year old son to another team so he wouldn't have to bear the burden of being a Jets fan. But, with all the excitement this season, he talks about the Jets now and no other team.--I hope they can turn the corner in the next few years for him. Well, better than being a Detroit Lions fan.
So after a loss to the Patriots in week 2 this season has become a disappointment for you? Or are you just disappointed that we lost one game? Either way, I'm having trouble putting my arms around the logic here (if there is any). I mean if the season is already a disappointment because of this loss, did you expect them to go undefeated? If so, then you obviously had very unrealistic expectations to begin with. Is a loss to the Pats a season killer? If so, then pretty much every team in the NFL has had their season killed by the Pats over the past 4 years or so. If you're saying that you're only disappointed by the one loss, how do you expect another team to not disappoint you? Do you expect to find some team that goes undefeated for the rest of your existence?
This is either a joke thread, a troll thread or an attention whore thread. If you were really going to jump ship for another team, and you had half a brain and at least one testicle, you wouldn't have started a thread to announce it.
I’m about three games away from just retiring from being a sports fan all together…Jets…Mets…fuck them both. I though hard about retiring last year but I took the offseason off…reflected on things, spent some time away and decided to come back. Bad decision. I’m pretty sure that when the Mets completely fold AGAIN in the next three weeks and the same time the Jets are sitting at 1 – 3 or so…that will be it for me.
