There's a story going around the past week about how someone bought this domain name solely for the fact that they didn't want anyone else to buy it and actually use it. Thank you to whoever this was, you have lowered the risk of this fanbase looking dumber. Unfortunately, there will still be ways for idiots to put up billboards and make pissrag towels to wave at games.
The real fallout from the billboard idiocy is the ridiculously short leash and small margin for error the new regime is necessarily going to be operating within. Following this franchise is like being a gerbil on a wheel.
that's quite a stretch, an exaggeration is it not? Rex got 6 years and after a 4-12 season there are still a lot people crying about his dismissal. A few billboard guys express their frustration and now this organization in turn has a ridiculously short leash and small margin of error for the new regime.??? I think you might be a little too over dramatic to say the least.
Who the hell is Maccangen? Some poor guy named Richard Maccangen working at Microsoft is gonna wake up one morning to find out there's a website calling for him to be fired. I don't think it's over dramatic. You have a bunch of morons who call for a GMs head to the point where they are putting up billboards because he didn't turn a team completely around in 2 years, that says something. That's the definition of a short leash.
if the fans ran this team maybe. but they don't. if you are upset at the Idzik dismissal (idk why anyone would) direct your anger at Woody Johnson
Woody's biggest weakness is he listens to nitwit fans too often. the top organizations laugh at their nitwit fans.
I'm not upset at the Idzik dismissal because we completely cleaned house, and that's what we SHOULD have done rather than just get rid of one person. The problem is the tone that the moronic portion of the fanbase sets when they do shit like put up billboards and wave towels and attempt to have tailgate rallies. The media picks up on it and makes it seem like there's more than a 5% portion of the fanbase that's this dumb. Like I said, I was fine with Idzik going, but this is true.
We really don't know if that was the reason why Woody fired Idzik. I will say this Rex found a job. How Idzik doing on that front?
I think the last sentence explains why. It's detrimental to the team. I think you're being naive if you don't think players and front office people from outside the area don't look at that and wince a bit.
