Today's game was a clear display of how much more competitive you are when you build your offense around the OL first. They deserve the game ball. Nine games into the season and both DeBrick and Nick M are displaying outstanding pro skills. The OL is the most glaring improved core from last year. We are slowly jelling as a team. The D is stepping it up with more swagger and aggressiveness. With the exception of the one drive where NE scored the TD the Jets dominated both sides of the ball and made every yard count. Smart drafting of smart players. Solid work ethics and sound, superior coaching with well thought out game plans. Damn. It works for me. We only just began the success journey with Mangini and the young Jets. A couple of more drafts and we will get to the promised land. For now, they are a bunch of very talanted, well coached young overachievers that will leave it all on the field.
That's the kind of players any winning team builds from.

On top of all that, we are only 1 game out of the division lead.

They did have a phenominal draft. Mangold, Dbrick, Coleman, and Washington as starters alone.

And Brad Smith and Kellen Clemens in the fold also.

Yeah, right now the Jet's 2006 draft is looking as good as all of the Bradway era drafts rolled together.

I think that bye week gave the CS some time to implement changes from the first half of the season. I think this is the Jets team we should expect to see the rest of the way out, and not the debacle in the Browns game. Chad's arm could have been tired. I hope he can make it through the rest of the season. We might need to win our playoff spot before the final week, so that Chad can rest up a week. :)

True, I wasnt even taken into account how good Clemens will be. Because I believe he has tremendous talent. But we FINALLY HAVE A STRONG FO. Things are really looking good.

The Browns made Michael Vick look really bad today also. It may just be that their defense is finally growing up.

If the Brown's defense is as improved as it has looked over the last few weeks they have just as good a shot at the playoffs as the Steelers and not much worse than the Bengals. Although all 3 are looking kind of iffy right now.

I don't think many here dispute that you build a Team from the LOS out.
What some of us (myself included) had an issue with was using such a high pick on a O-Lineman when you can Build a Line via FA and later picks.

They still have to improve in the Running game but are well on their way....

Even though Chad has been having a great comeback season I am looking forward to the Clemens era.
