Yeah, it is realistic that a 3rd-round rookie will start with Barton, Hobson, and Kassel already on the roster. Good call. Honestly.
According to the Sporting News Big Value Board, Schlegel was ranked the 270th best player in the draft and a 7th round pick.
Man, Schlegel is a wretched pick. If we are going LB, how about Brick's buddy Kai Parham from Virginia. Instead we get: "Is not a great athlete...Lacks elite speed, quickness and agility...Really struggles in coverage...Range is basically limited to the tackle box...Upside might be limited to that of a situational player. "
Good. Norwood to Atlanta. So sick of hearing Jets fans giddy over this 3rd down back. And this coming from a Bulldogs fan.
i think the jets feel confident with Cedric Houston, otherwise they probably would have taken a RB in the 3rd
Schlegel sounds like a bad pick at this point in the draft, but is a Mangini type of player. But who the hell knows.
He sounds like a good complement in a 3-4 to Vilma on the inside. With Vilma going sideline-to-sideline, you need a big guy to stay put in the middle and take on big RBs. He doesn't have to get out in coverage, just shed blocks and stop the run up the gut. Well...the runners that get by the line, anyway.
Jerrious Norwood to the Falcons. I was really hoping for an explosive offensive player but at this point, I guess if it isn't going to be a franchise RB it really isn't worth it.
I agree with that. And theres no reason why we shouldnt feel some what confident. Houston had some very solid games last season with no offensive line, now lets see what he does with this line.
