It was before my time, but I take great pride in Super Bowl III. What's not to love? How many teams in the history of pro sports are directly responsible for a major league expanding to include its upstart rival? We won this game and the NFL said, "Shit, I guess these guys are legit. Welcome to the NFL."
If a player must a win a ring to be iconic, then obviously that's true. But that's not how I define icon. Mark Gastineau was not my favorite guy, and it's said he wasn't well-liked in the locker room, but I'd argue he WAS an icon. He was positively electric and unique in his time. And don't forget Favre. Unless you want to forget. Sometimes I wish I could forget, but he was a clear icon. Klecko, C-Mart, Revis -- great players, but I agree they were not icons.
Sorry if U check the tape U would find MG was not a very good team player nor very helpful to the team
Thats true but he did win 1 which is more then any other NYJ QB did also U forgot that JWN did not play all these last 50 some odd years C
I was 14 years old in '69 & was a Jets...Mets...Knicks fan. I thought winning it all was just how it was supposed to be in NY. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. But just think, if we win it all every year, we'ld have nothing to bitch about.
Frankly I’m a lot less stressed about not seeing 1 than you are about not seeing 2. So I would say no, not really.
U just dont get it I I am just stating a historical fact that is it plain & simple A fact is something that really truly occurred & what I am stating really truly occurred virus in the 1950s As a example we dropped the 1st A bomb in History There was a Polio virus outbreak in the 1950s Nixon resignation Get it now
