found this on another site : John Clayton just said on Sportscenter that the Jets are offering a 7th round draft pick for Ramsey, and the 'skins are still demanding a 4th. that's the hold up
Good don't give up more than a 7th. Screw Ramsey. Anything more than a 6th would be a steal for the Skins.
Yeah, this was posted before, I don't want Ramsey, I want to draft a QB high, so I wouldn't trade anything for him.
You are insane. We can get a better QB than Ramsey at any pick in the draft all the way up to the fifth round. Not only would any of those QBs be better, but they'd have a better potential for a future here. Ramsey would serve as nothing more than a fire under Chad's ass. You don't trade a 4th round pick for garbage that needs "a change of scenery" in order to excel. Sounds like an excuse from a loser to me.
We don't need Ramsey. This is the final offer. Can anyone tell me what Ramsey has accomplished in his career?
Tannebaum is doing exactly what the Chiefs did with us. They knew Edwards wasn't going to be a Jet regardless so they held out. I must say, this is a damn nice way to manage things for someone who has been managing a team for under half a year.
Can we get a better QB than Ramsey in the 4th round of the draft? I don't think so, I'd totally disagree with that. However, I'd try to get them to meet in the middle say the 5th.
Good! I didn't want Ramsey in the first place. Now, given that the 'Aints have their QB, we have a much better chance to get the QB we want in the draft. It sounds like the Jets are targeting Leinart now (they were talking about it on ESPN News.) I'm not a big Leinart fan. I would rather have Cutler, but I'll take Leinart, or even Young over Ramsey.
To be perfectly honest with you if we can't get a better QB in the fifth round then I'd rather Brooks be playing than Ramsey. Ramsey is a built in excuse.
What QB in the draft would be better with a late fourth round pick than a former 1st round pick? He's got potential, very tough, and can excel in a new system. Give him a shot.
