The Jets can't allow the Dolphins' first win to come against their #1 rival.

The Jets are the better team, coming off a tough 31 point loss.

The Jets have a little advantage since the Jets have 9 days to prepare and the Dolphins will only have 6, however, these teams know each other.

As great as the Steelers win was, this season would be a complete disaster if we lost to Miami. Losing by 1 to them would hurt much worse than losing by 31 yesterday.

Bottom line is, this team needs to come out and show they are not in the bottom of the bunch. Defeat the Dolphins by double digits and allow Clemens' progress to get back on track.

Is there a chance the Jets could be underdogs in this game? haha, if not, I can't see them more than 3 point favorites.

The season is already a complete disaster whether we lose to Miami or not. I can't recall a season w/ such high hopes and few injuries where we have been worse. In '99, '03 and '05 we had hopes that were dashed b/c of injuries but this year we are mostly healthy. This might be the worst seson I have seen following the Jets and I was around for 1-15, 3-13, 4-12 seasons.

this game is completely meaningless. win or lose makes no difference. this season would be a complete disaster if we lose to Miami? what are you talking about??? it is a complete disaster already. If you absolutely HAD to point out any possible meaning of this game it would be draft pick positioning....

I don't disagree with you, but losing to the Dolphins would be rock bottom. If they come in 0-11 and we lose to them, it would be very upsetting.

Hopefully you are in the minority on that thought. Do you really want the Dolphins to go 1-15 with their only win coming against the Jets?

As much as I dont like the idea of the pats going 16-0 it would be so sweet to see the dolphins go 0-16.

What happens with the Dolphins means very little. Our team was good last year, but it just was not ready for this season, from the pre-season on. This team cannot compete in the NFL. Horrible coaching. Next season, first and foremost, we need a top notch defensive coordinator. I want Donnie back! New York cannot afford to have the Knicks and Jets look like total crap :(

Not to mention, a 3-13 season would be worthwhile for me, is 2 of those wins came against the Phins

I'm just not sure what point you are trying to make here. even with the Steelers win, the season is a complete disaster, and the Steeler win has no effect on how I would feel if we lose to the Dolphins. are you intimating that if we beat the Dolphins, the season is somehow not as bad, because we beat both the Dolphins AND the Steelers? I don't buy it. the Steelers aren't a rival of the Jets at the victory was just the second win of the season -- who it came against is irrelevant.

I was just saying it was a nice win during a horrible season. However, if the Jets lose to the Dolphins, it would void that win in my opinion and the season would be a complete 1010% failure/embarressment. Sweeping the Dolphins and a win vs. Pittsburgh would be nice during a horrible season, small positives for Clemens and the other young guys.

If the Pats have to go 16-0, then it would be great to see the Phins go 0-16 especially given the history. Not only will Phin fans lose there claim as the only undefeated team in history, but they'll also have to deal with the fact that they went defeated in the same season as they lost that claim.

Aside of that, we've owned the Phins this decade. Losing too them now wouldn't be like the wheels falling off, it would be like the whole car falling apart.

I agree, the jets MUST win this game. If the fins win, you know they will finish 1-15, and I don't want the 07 Jets to be remembered as the team that prevented the dolphins from going winless.

The Jets are the better team period, and should win this game.

If we lose to the Dolphins I will fly to Florida and harpoon some dolphins in front of women and children.

I believe in 1979, we were the only team that lost to the Saints (Aints), game was even at Shea.

All that needed to be said.

If they don't win, than it has to say something.

Although the Jets aren't playing well themselves, they are going to be facing a Dolphins team with a record of either 0-11 or 1-10 (depending on what happens on Mondays game). They have more talent, and the records show that.

the point is,being the Dolphins only win this season would be as embarrasing as could be for this organization. They are the worst team in football and our rival,if we get beat by them it would be pathetic.

The Dolphins have lost 5 games by 3 , one by 7 and 2 by 10, their blowouts by NE and Dallas were both by closer margins than ours-- The worst team in football could be open for debate -- we sure give them a run for the money and after we split the season with them , I may think they are better than us.
