The person, who requested anonymity because the Jets prefer to keep their search and their candidates private, said the Jets have requested permission to speak with Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who is expected to interview on Thursday or Saturday, and have sent out a yet-to-be-returned feeler to former Steelers coach Bill Cowher to gauge his interest.

Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Jaguars assistant head coach Mike Tice and current Jets assistants Brian Schottenheimer and Bill Callahan may also get interviews.

    Bill Callahan haha....

Mike Tice...wasn't he head coach of the Vikings during that boat sex scandal?

Spagnuolo would be a good hire for you guys too...if Cowher doesn't come out of retirement

Spagnuolo = Maybe, but it would involve switching to a 4-3, and it's going to take at least 2 years for us to adjust.

    Cowher = HELL YES.

    Leslie Frazier = Fail.

Mike Tice = Would be another Herm.

Brian Schotty = Not a chance. Fans will boycott the games.

Bill Callahan = Are you kidding?

Don't waste your time........... with Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Jaguars assistant head coach Mike Tice and current Jets assistants Brian Schottenheimer and Bill Callahan. If we fired mangini for one of these pukes then Woody is a bigger dumb ass then I thought.

I just don't want to go through another painful defensive scheme switch. Just keep the 3-4, please?

Would you even know Leslie Frazier if he fell on you?

Did you know who Mike Smith, Tony Sparano, and John Harbaugh were a year ago?

    ****

Tice and Callahan are proven dumbasses, sure.

But the other two fellows? No.

All Frazier has done is win at every stop.

    B. Schottenheimer was up and down as Jets OC. The jury is still out on him.

Spagz or Cowher. Everyone else can fart noise + thumbs down.

Fraizer's got a good rep, but I think he'd be more of an overhaul than Spagz.

pace and harris could be ok in a 4-3

and secondary doesnt really matter 2 studs 2 JAGS in any scheme

True, but our D was so bad this year in the 3-4, it can't get any worse.

    My thought Frazier= Herm
Do I know who Frazier is? NOOOOOO. Don't be a smart ass. Played for Bears and is Vikings D cord. Im tired of D cords/ D back coaches/ Linebacker coaches being our head coach they all sucked.

I have a feeling Spagz is the guy we'll get....I'm not a fan of the 3-4 anyway. Give me athletic lineman like the G-Men.

Just because Mangini sucked and Edwards had some problems, does not mean others will suck. If the Jets discard Schwartz and Frazier and whoever else because they are DCs, they may make a huge mistake.
