Davis wants Kiffin to resign, Kiffin wants to be fired. Davis apparently likes Rob Ryan but not enough to make him head coach. The Raiders don't hire defensive coaches as head coaches. Stay tuned, according to ESPN Ryan wanted the job with the Jets

One thing I thank god for: not having a meddlesome owner. How can you get anything accomplished if your owner can't stick with something for more than a year. Not that I'm complaining if it gets us Rob Ryan.

The raiders are by far the worst franchise in the nfl. Al Davis is so done.

Seriously Al Davis has entered the "One flew over the Coo coo Nest" zone..Who in their right mind would EVER go there as a coach..It's career suicide. Rob Ryan must be saying WTF did I do.. as well as Kiffin. The NFL might have to step in because Crazy Al is going to run the franchise into oblivion very soon if he hasn't already..The players must be saying get me out of this insane asylum.

Unfortunately for Raider fans don't expect the NFL to come to your rescue. Davis sued the NFL some years ago and won a big judgement.Mention Al Davis's name to NFL brass and they make a run to the John. The Raiders are and will be a bottom dweller for the foreseeable future.

Now, If this plays out and Kiffen gets fired or quits.....What then is ryan's status and how does this play out for us.... I could be mistaken but I thought I read somewhere over the past day or two that Ryan actually signed a new contract to stay with them..... If Kiffen gets gone either way, is Davis gonna give Ryan the job?????

I think you guys may be ignoring a major opportunity here. We could get Kiffin.

Now the Raiders deny they ever asked Kiffin for a resignation.

Before Parcells went in, the Dolphins were giving them a run for the money. I expect the Dolphins have now bottomed out, but we haven't seen the results on the field yet.

And the Falcons certainly deserve an honorable mention.

But in general, yes. If Al Davis had any feelings at all for his team and his players, he'd be looking to sell.

Although their record didn't show it, I understand he improved several of the teams weak areas, according to ESPN

"...Kiffin, 32, was the youngest man to coach a game in the NFL since Harland Svare took over the Los Angeles Rams as a 31-year old in 1962. The team went 4-12 in his first season in Oakland, doubling the team's win total from the previous year and showing signs of improvement in many areas...". I would love to have him.....
