That we have a good kicker for once. He is the team best offensive weapon. He set a record yesterday. The first kicker in NFL history with five 55 plus FG's in a season. Great job Myers.

I definitely agree that he is a fine kicker and has had an excellent year, but we do have to realize that part of a record like this comes from having a very conservative coach and a terrible offense, which makes going for it on 4th down from the opponent's 38 to 41 yard line unappealing to that coach. I'm sure many other teams would have gone for it on 4th downs that Bowles sent Myers out on.

surely in a jets kind of way he'll start to suck when and if the jets turn things around.

Regardless of the conservative approach, the guy has been money with a booming leg to boot. Five 55 yarders is quite a feat/feet.

He and Lac Edwards are probably 1-2 in the team MVP race (for want of a better term).

Would be appropriate with $100 mil in FA they'll nickel and dime him and chase him out the door...

Most kickers are an enigma. He has performed very well, surprisingly, this season. I have no problem signing him to a 2 year contract for solid money, but nothing crazy.

He hasn’t really had to attempt any high pressure kicks yet

He’ll probably be one of those guys that’s an All-Pro in the first half but screws us at the end of important games.

They'll sign him to a long term deal, and like all the other players who cashed in on this organization he'll turn to shit, and be released 2yrs into a 5yr deal.

This guy is the cornerstone to our rebuild strategy.

We just need an offense that can consistently get him into 55 yard range and we can win with defense.

I can see it now. Jets win 15-10. Jets win 18-17.

    VLT incoming.

Seriously, though, the kids been solid. Hopefully there are more meaningful kicks in his future.
