you mean Leon and Harris? I even got Rhodes ahead of Leon. I like the littly guy, but his Kickoffs were 80% Westhoff 20% Leon, or something like that, imo.
I gotta go with Coles on this one...I know that DH had a bigger impact, but through a tough losing season plagued with injury and a new QB, LC showed why he is a leader of this Jet team. Gotta give it up for the old man.
Why? He had a pretty good year, about the same FG percentage as last year (with another 15 in a row streak), plus he increased the length on his kickoffs. I voted leon.
He missed a few kicks in games we could have won back when the season still mattered. He made kicks against teams like KC and Pitt when the season was a lost cause. People like to talk so much about his improved kickoff distance but he's not doing it anywhere near consistently. Voted for Rhodes based on his performance to cost ratio. The man deserves a raise.
I had to go with Harris. He came in for Vilma and pretty much excelled from the get go. He will continue to get better and has Pro-bowl potential if we can win more than 9 games next year so he gets the notariety.
For me it's between Cotchery and Harris and I've got to go with my favorite Jet at the moment Cotch. Probably the best yards after contact receiver in the league. Got to say Revis looked incredible at times, definately in the second half of the season.
He got nominated. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=732534&postcount=39 I'm sorry but I thought your nomination of CJ Mosley was tongue in cheek.
I chose Harris - his impact was obvious. However, I gave serious consideration to both Leon Washington and Nick Mangold. Mangold deserves to be a Pro Bowler. He's our solid offensive leader of the line - and a guy to watch for years to come.
Mangold will really start to shine when he isn't surrounded by garbage. It's hard to recognize the great play of one OL when the rest are human turnstiles.
I thought Revis did a great job at one of the hardest spots for a rookie to start. Revis is my choice.
Tough one. I picked Coles for the same reasons as NJJ wrote. In order my list would be: Coles (as explained) Harris (this kid is awesome) Mangold (the most consistent player on the team by far.) Cotch (showed flashes of brilliance.) Revis (played fantastic for a rookie against some good competition.) Rhodes (came on too late in the year to be truly deserving.) Washington (electric player, but doesn't get enough opportunities to shine on offense.) Oh, and Nuge SUCKS. A lot.
As much as Harris' emergence was great (as is obvious by his huge lead in the poll) I had to vote for who I believe is our best player, by a decent margin.... Kerry Rhodes got my vote, with Coles a close second...
