The Jets run a hybrid defense.. they play plenty of 4 down linemen sets. Nobody runs a true 3-4 or true 4-3 anymore really. It's all a big mix of different looks.

And really.. don't you think Rex Ryan knows more about fixing a defense than all of us put together?

We not only run a 3-4 but the 46 as well, if your thought was that simple we would see this, the thought of this thread is poor.

I was thinking about all of this earlier today. Our town's high school football team is really good. They won last week against another local town. Maybe the Jets should take a few steps back and get back to basics by watching how the high school kids play.

 

I know. I've been checking in regularly out of morbid curiosity about the level of whining. Christ. Some of these 'fans' sound like high school chicks who just got dumped.

We lost to the Raiders. In week 3. In a season where there's been NO dominant team emerge. We're 2-1. At least tied or better than EVERYONE ELSE in the AFC except the Bears. We have 2 tough games coming up. Calm down.

I saw this play in Madden called Punt Block Man which is basically 10 on the line of scrimmage and a guy deep. Think Rex should switch to it instead of the 3-4?

So who do you want to use for DEs? Cactus? or Pace? Both have miserably failed there. DeVito, Mo Wilk, and Pitoitua all qualify for DTs, not DEs in 4-3.
