Now that every team has played 9 games, did you know that....

Thomas Jones is ranked 11th in the league for rushing yards with 606?

David Harris, despite few starts, has 66 tackles tieing him for 23rd in the league with....Brian Urlacher?

Darrelle Revis is tied for 7th in the league for passes defensed with 10?

Jerricho Cotchery has 682 receiving yards, 11th place in the league?

Everything else pretty much sucks, but I was surprised to see Jones so high in the rankings...

    All stats from espn.com

Maybe Jones' stats are a result of the number of 2-back systems i the league...

    T. Jones was 6th a couple of weeks ago. And Cotch is among the top 10 Players in Targets.

Jones has piled up yardage with little to no help from his OL and passing game... I really feel for the guy, who came here looking to make a playoff run (however foolishly).....

He really works his ass off though, and has been one of very few positives for the team this year

And Jones has done it with limited touches, shockingly if we gave the guy the ball in the second half not only would he be higher up in the rankings, but we might have another win or two.... just my two cents. This is also a reason to uh not draft Mcfadden and trade down. If our terrible offensive line is our there and Jones is running like this, i think that with a better offensive and defensive lines he gets better. Also look at it this way, if we had drafted Jones with our second round pick last year, and he was running like this, people wouldn't be begging for Mcfadden, more people would want to fill the other needs....

These stats made me smile, for about 15 seconds. After that, I realized that the team still sucks badly- the life of a Jets fan.

A Couple of positives. An im suprised even in just 2 starts David Harris now leads our team in tackles and is 23rd in the league , He's gonna be a force to be reckoned with my friends

When a rookie leads a team in tackles, after 2 starts in 9 games. That?s all but positive. Exept the fact, that Harris is great, of course.

I mentioned it in another Thread some time ago, when you got 2 CBs among your top 5 Tacklers, and only 2 LBs, that?s horrible. I think LB is even a bigger need than D-Line. Right now, Harris is the only one of that group, that shows up on Gameday.

revis and harris' stats also have to do with the fact that our defense cant get off the field

Thomas Jones is ranked 17th in yards per game at 67.3. That sucks and it is a down year as well.

If it was 2006 or 2005 he would rank 25 and 21 in ypg.

Yes, Coleman has 51 tackles. the espn.com tackle leaders stats end at AJ Hawk tied for 40th most with 59 tackles. Every player in the top 40 of tacklers is either a LB or a DB. The fact that Coleman as a defensive end is up in the neighborhood with 51 is pretty impressive...

Thomas Jones has zero TD's... where does that rank?

His 606 yards prove how easy it is to get 1000 yards, usually a benchmark of a good RB. He needs 394 yards for 1000 and has 7 games to do it. Only needs to avg. 57 yards per game.

We don't even TRY to run it in from inside the 5. That's just depressing.

About where he is now and just shows how pathetic his numbers really are. Somebody earlier said it right. I believe there are 10 or 12 teams now using a tandem of RBs regularly. That's why Jones is ranked 11th...because the Jets don't use 2.
