Is there a dirtier player in the league?

I would say not even close.
Really bush league play stepping on Rodgers leg. (And I was rooting for Detroit)

I'm sorry but that's pretty fucking lame. Another example of the NFL pussifying the game. It's iffy that he really purposely stepped down hard on Rodgers but even if he did that warrants a fine/slap on the wrist not a suspension for a playoff game.

Let the players play and sort it out on the field. It hurts the fans that a great player is suspended for something so lame like that. It's also only cause it was on film and people can debate it. That's not even close to the type of shit that happens under the pile/a scrum for the football.

    So lame.

His one foot is against Rodgers, so he KNEW he was there. Then he non-chalantly steps back directly on his leg with his weight. There is no doubt of the intent.
Trust me - I am all against the pussifying the game. But this happened behind the play, not in a position for the players to sort out on the field.

Suspended for the game is light, it is an ongoing pattern of behavior-- Dude should be thrown out of the NFL, no place in competitive sports for cheap shots and intents to injure.

nah I disagree.not about the stepping but the suspension.

It's really pussy that the league is suspending him for that. It's not like it was really even that bad. Whats next? A player gets suspended for pushing off another player to get up? A player suspended for pulling a player with dreadlocks down by them? An offensive lineman cutting down a defensive player at the knees??

Those are similar/if not worse than what Suh did there...

another thing is that it was against Rodgers. I'll venture to say that casually "stepping" on a player like that happens all the time in every game. This one just so happened to be against Aaron Rodgers the NFL golden boy, hence the suspension. If Suh did the same thing to Geno Smith on a non-nationally televised 1 o'clock game you think he'd get the same treatment??? haha yeah right.

    lame- pussy ass league

While Suh is stepping on his calf, he lifts up his other foot (in a totally unnatural manner, if your other foot is on uneven footing) which puts all of his weight down on Rodgers leg.
That's how you know it was intentional. Add to the fact everyone already knows his leg is injured and forced him to leave the game earlier.

50/50 if that's intentional or not in my opinion. Mo Wilk would probably get the benefit of the doubt on that one. Suh with his history, not so much.

Didn't think it was worthy of a suspension when I saww it live, or on various replays, thought he would just get fined. That said, I absolutely believe it was intentional, and with his history, I have ZERO sympathy for him. No one to blame but his own dumb ass.

I remember years ago watching an interview where a player was explaining how guys used to wrap silver dollars up in their palms under the tape. When they would come up from the crouch they would smack you in the ear/side of the head to make you go deaf. Hardcore shit.

Nah, I think you are lost here. Suh has been a dirty player for years, and more to the point, he's been stepping on and kicking players for years. That was 100% intentional and very dangerous. I'm almost always against suspensions during the playoffs (I believe that not letting the best players play hurts the integrity of the competition), but I am 100% in favor of Suh missing a game. That was just dirty and completely uncalled for.

Just checking, you are aware that Aaron Rodgers had a torn calf that was inhibiting his ability to walk, right? And that Suh was blatantly trying to make the injury worse? If it weren't for that circumstance I would disagree with the suspension, but c'mon. This is like punching a guy in the helmet because you know he's coming off of a concussion.

While I think the suspension is justified, can't they just let him play against the Cowboys? Let him sit out the following week.....

What is messed up is that the NFL will suspend Suh for this act citing player safety and damaging the integrity of the game when in just the same weekend we saw:

-- The buccaneers sit down their 2 best defensive starters and others in the second half of their game against the saints they were winning only so they ensure they lose and secure the number 1 pick.
They of course will receive no punishment for that act which damages the integrity of the game in a worse way..

-- Rodgers goes out of the game against the Lions and into the locker room for "treatment" when everyone with a brain knows they pumped him full of painkillers so he could return. We are talking about a league that has already been investigated by the Feds for overuse of painkillers and in the middle of a lawsuit from crippled former players claiming the same practice.
They of course will receive no punishment for that act which is a worse violation of Rodgers safety...

But Suh gets caught on national television being slightly overly physical (debatable) In a physical game and doing something that has happened since the beginning of the game..extra unnecessary contact. But they better suspend him right?

    Pussy bullshit league

Yes I am aware of this.. I am also aware this happens damn near every week.. Players trying to take advantage of another player's injury.

And I am also aware that nobody gets a suspension for it until it's done to the NFL's resident golden baby Aaron Rodgers..

By the way- players do hit a guy in the head when they know he's coming off a concussion. Watch lineman mix it up sometime..

Maybe you should criticize the league for forcing teams to disclose injuries in detail to the public?
