2 total catches in the last 4 weeks...it seems as though as keller has come on stuckey has gotten less oportunity.

does anyone have any idea if there is an injury situation with him?

Keller is just a better target, and the Jets have been distributing the ball to their primary weapons. There really isn't much room for Stuckey to do anything, especially since Brad Smith is more useful for doing Scotty's stupid gadget plays.

I don't think so, not that I've heard. I think Coles has been lobbying for playing time so much that he and Cotchery have gotten the nod pretty much.

I'd love to see Stuckey have a breakout catch. The kid is lightening fast.

I would call it, IMO, it has t o do with the play calling. They have in a sense pulled back on the "Brett, throw it wherever and whenever you want" game plan. Using Keller you give the defense the look of run. His blocking is not great but generally that is the look the D gets when there are 2 TE's in the game.

If they aren't going to throw to Stuckey why don't they put Clowney in??

2 total catches and both were on the same play. The corner was playing soft coverage on him and Favre threw the ball as soon as it was snapped. It was like a mini screen that wasn't designed.

why put a preseason wonder over a kid whos priven himself in the slot?

Clowney isn't a slot WR. The Packers tried that and it failed. He is a flank WR who plays vertically.

They already have two good possession receivers in Cotch/Coles. Clowney adds another dimension. He should be in there instead of Stuckey. He would get the separation we desperately need on the deep ball and give us an effective vertical game. The Packers gave up on him because they were using Jennings and Jones for that role. There really isn't anything Stuckey can do that Coles and Cotchery cant. At least Clowney gives us a vastly different look that the safeties would have to consider.

He was WiDE OPEN on the TD pass to Coles last week against the Titans. He is still running nice routs, but with so many targets his numbers are gonna go down.

I love the depth if nothing else. If somebody goes down we've got it covered.

I'd really like to see Mangini put both these guys in if we get into another blowout situation (SF or Seattle?) where the score is like 45-10 or something... give Clowney and Stuckey a chance to catch some balls and practice some routes.

I don't get the massive love for Clowney or Ratliff. They played great in the preseason against a bunch of bums that are mostly out of the league. Let then show some skill against actual NFL'ers before we go annointing them anything.

    For the OP...

Stucky is the 4th receiver at this point behind Cloes, Cotch, and Smith. Keller is becomming a huge target for Favre. There s only so many offensive touches to go around. Jones will get his, so will Leon and Keller. So will Cotch and Coles. Who would you want to take plays away from in the group to get stucky the ball?

I just wanna see a receiver out in space, with the DB burned catching a fucking 70 yard bomb from Farve into the endzone, PLAY CLOWNEY!!

What makes you think Clowney can do this any better then Cloes or Cotchery? Both are great run after the catch receivers.

If he was wide open then why not throw him the ball, I mean Coles caught the pass, good job, but it was between 3 DB's, that could of been bad

Clowney is a deep runner, Coles and Cotchery aren't, it was pre season after all, but they should of given him a shot, and if he turned out to be legit, he'd be a huge threat and another single player defences would need to worry about, anyway we have a great group of receivers, I would just like to see clowney play

He was probably the 3rd read on the play and by the time Favre got to him he was covered.

NDMick is right, Clowney would never replace Stuckey because he's not a slot receiver. Stuckey has shown sure hands and toughness that you need in a slot guy. Even though he's not getting a ton of balls lately, he's done a fine job when given the opportunity.

At this point I have to believe he's an insurance policy in case Coles has another concussion.

But it was a catch and that's really all that matters, not it could have been bad or anything. And I really don't suggest changing anything at this point with the production we're getting.

I'm not saying for them to change the entire offense I just wanted to see what he had in a real game, like I said before, we dont have a burner, and I would love to see a receiver out in space, with the DB burned catching a fucking 70 yard bomb from Farve into the endzone, but I still love my Jets just they way they are
