This is my thought and some of you will difinately think I am crazy. Looking at the situation this coming Sunday, and wondering how bad we are about to get spanked beyond recognition, I came to the conclusion that if we had one chance, just ONE chance to take it to the Patriots and shock to world................put in Chad Pennington off the bench. I am not saying keep Chad as the starting QB. I am saying that having Chad come off the bench and start next weekend against the Pats gives us the best chance at winning the game on Sunday. I know I know Chad's arm is a liability and blah blah, but the factis that Chad has beaten the Patriots. He wins games by planning ahead and tricking the opponent mentally. The patriots comepletely understand what Chad is capable of, but to tell you the gods honest truth? Chad might be up for the challenge comming of the bench and winning this game for us.

I am not saying Chad should be our starting QB, but he may be the best option at QB this weekend. He knows the pats, he has stuck it to them before. I just have a feeling he is our best option. Hell, put in Kellen right after and start him up through 2008 and trade Chad in the off season if you must, but if you want to win this game or come close to it, I think Chad is the man.

just my opinion. Chad will get us in and out of plays that Kellen simply can not do. He can also make up for some of Schots bad calls at the line and change the call.

I know it wont happen, but thats just my 2 cents.

did you see what happened in week 1. that was his chance. Kellen is going have to face the pats in the future so he needs to figure it out somehow. Let this be bumps in the road for him and hopefully he can smooth things out. I believe he can. If we play Chad we still probably going to lose anyways so it makes no sense. Kellen needs to learn and let him learn the hard way. Next year with a better line that extra second he might have to throw the football will feel like an eternity for him and hopefully hell be able to make the right decision. :pats_suck:

As long as Kellen doesn't learn bad habits. Lots of hot shot college QBs come into the league every year. Dang few of them manage to learn to play at NFL speeds behind a bad offensive line.

My god, how can people still think this? Chad has FAILED and been benched because he is not as good anymore as Kellen. Chad gives us a worse chance to beat the Patriots.

The two things that Chad is better at are playaction and accuracy. If that would beat the Pats then do it. But this isn't about the Pats this about the Jets. Chad comes in and plays (win or lose doesn't matter) what have we learnt? Nothing.
I'm still out on Clemens , but I havn't seen anything yet that inspires me at all.

Chad is not the man. Chad is NOTHING resembling the man. Chad isn't even the boy holding The Man's spit bucket. The only way I put Chad in the game is if we see that things are so bad, that the O-line protection is so poor, that Clemmens, and our future could be in jeopardy. In that case, put Chadaboy, our cerebral leader, in the game and let the Pats have their way with him.
