Ok, so my WR's are , Randy Moss , Steve Smith, Steve Smith (NYG) and Percy Harvin. Yeah so I always start the first 3, however Revis held Randy Moss to basically absolutely nothing. Revis is a fuckin beast. Should I not start Steve Smith for Carolina this week and put in a Percy Harvin, who is a 3rd Wr for the Vikings?
Do you get points for return yards? If yes, start Harvin. Even if you don't its still a toss up just because of how good Smith is.
Am I the only one who thinks the thread title is a little gay? Bench Smith. Go with the trends, dont bank on the with if's.....
you drafted randy moss therefore you deserve to lose. and i always bench players if they are playing the jets.
I have smith, and I am playing him at this point. You go with your best guys at this point regardless of opponent. At least I do.
Didn't you see the guy with that rotowire recommendation in his sig? "You can't risk your #1 wide receiver against the Jets these days"
I don't. I like to actually win in fantasy and its good to know where the weak matchups are. Keeping Jones-drew in against us was big for me that week. Now receivers on the other hand, mainly #1 guys, get benched because of the Revis factor. He will most likely shut your #1 guy down so select an alternate.
If you are in a PPR league, you might have gotten .5 points from Smith. It should come to no surprise that Darrelle Revis kicks some serious ass
Really there is little choice unless you have a good option on the bench. But if you have a #1 guy goign into the Jets or Oakland, it should make you think twice. Those are the only two true "shutdown" corners in the NFL though. Other teams may play great pass defense, but those two you can leave on an Island and let them make plays.
