Maybe now the world can move past this silly charade that George is still in control and running the team.

Neither of the sons like Torre at all. However, I still think he stays because there really isn't anybody available to take his place and that's the difference with them being in control. It will be for a hell of lot less then 7 million a year though.

I think we've already gotten our first taste of Hal or Hank or Halnk - and, really, who the hell knows which is which just yet.

First, they came out and announced their presence with all the subtly of the Partridge Family bus. Then, Halnk, before his ass even hit the seat of the old man's chair, tells us that a condition of Torre coming back, if he does, would be Chamberlain in the starting rotation . It's a small point, and we all know that's a settled issue, but heavy-handed personnel decisions the owner's office are what the old man did, and what these kids seem to be telling us to expect.

The story goes that Hank will run baseball operations and Hal will build the new stadium. And yes, Hank is very much his father's son.

Since when did Hank and Hal take an interest in the baseball business anyways? I always thought George had his sons-in-law running things because his kids didn't want any part of it.

Now that George is mentally unable to run the team, are they stepping in to preserve the investment and make sure the Yankees and YES maintain its worth for the eventual sale after George dies?
